Why would they put the samething in a updated Databook, since we already know hes the strongest Hokage.
With that being said, show me in a data book where it says Hashirama is the strongest Hokage.

Hiruzen Sarutobi aka The professor aka "God of Shinobi" aka "the old man".

Hiruzen is undoubtedly the Strongest Kage after Hashirama. Why?? Because of his Hype and because of his mastery.

Now some will say his hype was contridicted.. well yes, BUT only a liltle.

The Professor title was proven by, his mastery of the combat forms and knowledge of all the Leaf's jutsus. (manga says, he was able to "use" every jutsu, or something like that. But it just looks like a liltle typo, or a mistake).


The GOD OF SHINOBI: was proven by how he made Konoha reach its prime, and was known as the Strongest Hokage of his time.....


So, all of the hype has been proven by the manga..
He was called the God of Shinobi.. but it didn't mean hes stronger then Hashirama... Who was called "best ninja" by kabuto.


Also taking on Orochimaru in a barrier and fight Edos of the first and Second (they weren't used properly).. even after the beatings from those 3 he was still standing. He was also contained in a specific area. So he could not Move around alot.

Where have we seen him fight in his prime to earn such a title? There is no such proof of Hiruzen being even remontely close in the power scale of the Kage we've seen after Part 1.

Through Madara's Steroid perfected Susanoo we've somewhat confirmed Hashirama had power=to that of a Bijuu and potentially more so if he was fighting both the Kyuubi and Madara's perfected Susanoo at the same time before he stripped control away from Madara. Whether or not Hashirama had used any of the Bijuu, including the Kyuubi in his fight against Madara has yet to be determined by purely based on hype if you see the damage Madara has been doing with only Mokuton and his Susanoo, we see only his and Hashi's power.

Those hype feats of Hashirama seem much greater than the examples you listed.

Third Raikage fought for 3 days and 3 nights against 10,000 may be the only one I consider greater a hype measure than Hashi's at the moment and Sasori's nation take down though I highly doubt the nation. Nagato's destruction of the village and Hiruzen's are weak.

What was implied by Orochimaru's fight is highly insignificant to what has been implied about both Tobirama and Hashirama after that fight. We see in Orochimaru's fight, not even a glimer of the skills that are to be possessed by the two Hokage.

to be a hokage is to put your life on the line and protect the village even if it means that you loose your life and this is what Hiruzen did.
At the end he protected what he treasured most and thats is why he won

However he did not defeat the edo hokages in any sense but he willingly sacrificed his life to protect the village by sealing them away.
and this is one of the themes of the manga- to never give up hope/fighting even in the face of overwhelming power even in part 2!

The very ground shakes up when susanoo takes on step
However Oonoki displays the never give up spirit by taking a step of his own even though he knows they are nowhere near madara's level!

This is clearly meant to show that even though the heroes dont stand a chance they still fight and are willing to sacrifice their lifes if that means they have a chance of stopping the villian

The fight was never meant to say that Hiruzen>Hashirama or Tobirama, it was meant to show what it means to be a hokage and the fact that Hiruzen has inherited the will of fire from previous hokages
