By this I don't mean they are equal in power but rather they are the same person.

The reason I say this is coz I re-read Naruto chapter zero and realized that the village chief(Hiruzen v0.5) did what the So6P did, which is take out the tailed beast that was terrorizing the masses.

In chap. 0 though the chief killed the Kyuubi and Naruto was its orphaned child so the story changed a bit.

NOTE: For those that don't know, I'm talking about the pilot/one-shot(of Naruto) Kishi made before the series

I think you should specify that it's the one-shot that the Naruto series was partially based on. That being said, the one-shot is not an accurate way to judge the characters in the manga. I heard Naruto's joke 9 tails transformation that he got when training with Bee was actually what he looked like in the one-shot lol.
