tbh all this is nothing but a popularity contest, ppl are gonna say whoever they like the most, a battle like this can't be answered as simply as who will beat who, it'd never go the same way more than once, on a good day either one could die. both shinobi are way to high a level to just generally say who'd win, not to mention we don't know the fourth's capabilities.

Right, because Itachi was able to best the masked Madara, something Minato did in a few minutes while Itachi plotted against him for years and still failed to succeed, riiiiight.

i beleive hiruzen is not that weak like most of the posters say.... i believe in his prime, sarutobi is at par with other kages... from what the monkey summon said... sarutobi is a lot slower or weaker thus having a hard time with oro... from what we have seen.. hiruzen is using his chakra efficiently since it is lower than his prime... so a jutsu able to defend enough is practical rather than using a super scary jutsu just to show off. anyway... given that hiruzen at his prime is strong and is at par with other kages, minato is on another level.... he is a match for the strongest duo with one being a respectable kage himself thus showing that minato is really a level above the kages... it may be not that much superior, but even if a bit... he is stronger.

Minato's hype is slightly better than hiruzen so I'll go with minato is stronger.

Agreed Sarutobi has to be in physical contact with his target for the Death God to stretch his hand into their stomach. While Minato doesn't the Death God hand extends out...Also Kushina knew what the jutsus was and the repercussions. It was an already existant jutsus

And have you just forgotten about naruto, at the rate at which he is growing i think he will surpass all the powerful shinobis kage or not

First of all i'm not a fanboy. Second of all you still did not give me a technique from Hiruzen that is GREAt. Third of all, if its that simple to counter why couldnt tobi or A counter it? Yea that's right they got defeated and the fourth also has space time barrier techniques on top of that.

You are a fanboy, tobi didn't counter it because he didn't know about it....They they make that clear? tobi didn't know he could teleport to a kunai he threw mid air...It was tobi's mistake and he paid for it...If he knew that he wouldn't have gotten hit

The 3rd with his age could still give a good fight. Due to his age, he probably had tons of jutsus. Hell, he was jiraiya's sensei and minato was jiraiya's apprentice. So the 3rd would know most of minatos moves and jutsus. But then again, minato was the yellow flash and had a few jutsus of his own so who knows.
