Hiruzen fanboys are starting to get on my nerves especially when they believe hiruzen beat both hokages at their strongest which is obviously nonsense. Oro didnt make use of the hokages at all, he was a noob with the technique and thats why the hokages looked piss poor. Not to take anything away from the old man, but you are clearly talking out of your ass if you say he took on 2 hokages at their strongest

They didn't seem to be in their prime also the power scaling was different in Part 1. Just my two cents.

Maybe Madara (if he has the Kyuub).

And don't Rely with the Crappy Hashi > Madara, So if Madara > Hiruzen That Means Hashi > Hiruzen.
That is just Bad Logic.

i think the first an second would **** hiruzen up, an madara would not need the kyuubi. The 3rd wouldnt even fight the 9 tails cause he wasnt confident in his abilities, both minato an the 1st did

I'll tell you why he was the god of shinobi, because Kishi said so!

kishi also made it a point in the manga to call pain a god an called invincible, itachi with his sword an sheild to be invincible, an the 1st to be a ninja in his on class an his power was that of legend. So thats 2 gods(pain, an the 3rd) 2 people who were said to be invincible(itachi an pain) an one ninja in his own class and a legend(the 1st). An lets not forget minato which kishi also made it a point to say that he was a ninja never thought to be surpassed. Every one i jus named has more reason to be thought invincible then the 3rd. The third just got a title for knowing alot of jutsu, just like kakashi got a title for knowing alot of jutsu.

honestly we freakin havent seen anything to prove he was that strong at all so why do ppl on the base think he was so strong? everything is based on assumption. no solid proof that he can even rival sasuke...if there is then plz with open arms i welcome you to show it to me. He might have been stronger than he was wen he fought oro but that doesnt mean he was freakin100x stronger then he was there. seriously ppl wtf

There was a thread about this awhile ago. Power scaling Part 1 - Part 2 has to be taken into account. Nidaime spitting out water in Part 1 was considered godlike.

^this... Kishi had different ideas when Hiruzen 1st fought Oro in part 1... If the fight was in part 2, it be more epic. Over the years Kishi just developed more ideas, making the part 2 characters seem OP as hell

Yeah i bet Kishi wishes, he never used Shiki Fujin on Hiruzen, but then again the story would have been totally different... maybe he will do a Hiruzen Gaiden? Or better yet instead of these damn fillers in the anime... why dont he do Gaidens on all the pass Hokages.

Hiruzen Beat 1st and 2nd Hokages and Almost Killed Oro when he was Past him Prime (Fact).

People need to understand that Hiruzen was said to be the Strongest, not that he was the strongest.How could anyone know who was the strongest out of the Five Kages at that time without seeing the powers and skills of each Kage.Furthermore, we don't know who consider Hiruzen the strongest.I would bet it wasn't shinobis from other villages, which means the opinion of Hiruzen being the strongest kage of his time was heavily bias.It defies logic that Cloud Shinobis, Rock Shinobi, Mist Shinibis, and Sand Shinobis, and the smaller hidden villages shinobis would all think that Hiruzen an not their own Kage or leader was the strongest.

He Retained his Title of "God of shinobi" Till his Death.

Even after the Sannins had Grown up, Even After Minato became Hokage, Even when the A/onoki/Mei/Gaara's Dad were Kages

Also an Old Hiruzen (Past him prime) Already Beat the 1st and 2nd Hokage, So he has a chance to Beat Minato in his Prime.

Before you comment, please READ the whole thing. Or you will be wasting your time. I tried keeping the post as small/concise as I could

We all know Hiruzen was 69 when he died.
Now during the kyuubi attack, he was (69-13)=56, his looks were different back then, he had black hair and was slightly taller. Even though he was old, we wasn't suffering from old age. If you look at Jiraiya when he died, he died at 53. So his age was very similar to hiruzen's during the kyuubi attack. Yet when Jiraiya fought Nagato, his abilities were not at all affected by old age. He was as good as he was in his prime. No one can argue a 30yo Jiraiya was 10 times stronger. In Naruto, a ninja is hardly affected by old age especially in their 50s..(Orochimaru, Tsunade, A)..they are almost as good as they were in their so called prime. In fact they get stronger during that age(Onoki got faster). So during the kyuubi attack, Hiruzen was pretty close to his prime to say the least.

What he did against the kyuubi was not at all bad, he drove the kyuubi out of the village. However, he was not able to fight it off and at one point he was on his knees about the get hit by the tbb. that's when Minato came into play and teleported the beast.

Now 3 years after the kyuubi attack, hiruzen still fought Orochimaru and defeated him fair and square. he was 59 at that time. The point is, when those anbu members said "HE DOESNT HAVE THE RESERVES OF CHAKRA HE ONCE HAD" they were referring to Hiruzen from 10 years ago when he actually had more chakras and better health.

Hiruzen had a long array of techniques in his arsenal, but he never was godlike strong like Nagato, Madara or Hashirama for that matter. Heck even Hiruzen himself said and I quote" you can destroy me, but a stronger hokage will take my place and defend the hidden leaf village" and he was thinking about Minato(showed flashback). implying Minato was stronger than him. "Prime Hiruzen" is not 100 times stronger than the 56yo Hiruzen that fought the kyuubi. He had to rely on Minato during that attack.

prime hiruzen would run circles around the sannins and most of the other kages. But he is NOT THE STRONGEST SHINOBI of all time.

Im no fanboy. But as im reading everyones post i realize when u try to defend one hokage and state why hes the best u have to ignore what other characters said about other hokages. In part one even though the 3rd was considered the god of shinobi, the 4th was also said to be the best. Kishi said in an interview that the 4th was the stronest of all the dead nin. Then changed his mind and sais the 3rd and 4th were about equal. In part 2 kabuto states the 1st power is a fairy tale. Madara praises the 1st. But i do remember kakazu said he faced the 1st and stated he wasnt that strong. Madara because of his battle with the 1st. Kakazu lived. Im really tired so if im comimg off a bit confusing im sorry. But my point is using facts from the manga u can make great arguments for the 1st 3rd and 4th as the strongest hokage.

Oh and i meant madara dies because of his battle with the 1st. Kakazu lived. But that doesnt make madara weaker than kakazu. So saying just because the 3rd couldnt beat the fox but the 1st can suppress the fox doesnt make him stronger than the 3rd. Idk. Ill just wait into the manga is done or kishi says in an interview after all this time to judge who is the strongest hokage.
