Hashirama obviously, Hiruzen is not so strong, a lot of Shinobies would own him. He has plenty of techniques ( All no KG Leaf techniques, BUT not those who were developed after his death lol, ( which are the strongest ones ), at any point, Hashirama can block most of it, specially, when I can't see any really strong technique in his arsenal besides RPD or Emma.. He's too overrated, he was god of shinobi in part 1 naruto, when there was no EMS or no Rinnegan, no S/T or Mokuton. The strongest attack back then was Rasengan..

Are people STILL misreading what was said? In that instance, the scanlators were right on the money according to the Naruto wiki's translators translation:


"There are no longer any shinobi on the same level as the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju… That's what everyone says. Those who hear of such strength consider it a fairytale, similar to the Sage of the Six Paths, hm…" ((初代火影千手柱間ほどの忍はもういない……人は皆そう言う。その強さを聞いた者は六道仙人と同じくおとぎ話だとね…), (Shodai Hokage Senju Hashirama hodo no shinobi wa mō inai…… Hito wa mina sō iu. Nowhere was Kabuto saying that Hashirama was close to the Sage, nor that he was the strongest after him. In fact, notice the words "no longer", as in there WERE ninja on his level and above.

And I think that Hiruzen being though of as a God in his prime trumps Hashirama's "fairy tale" power.

Hashirama is by far a lot stronger then Hiruzen. If you think it through, do you think that Hiruzen could have took on Madara and the Nine Tails at the same time, by himself? I don't think that he even matches Madara Uchiha. Anyone agree?

People get a bit too worked up about matchups. Just because Hiruzen is factually stronger than Hashirama doesn't mean he could defeat EMS Madara + Kurama, but it also doesn't mean he couldn't (in his prime by the way). Hashirama was better suited to that battle since he too could control Tailed Beasts, and not to mention Mito sealed away Kurama.

Either way we can go on hype or whatever, but aslong as we've not seen both of these guys in their prime, what they're capable of basically, then we will not know. Hiruzen is the king of hype because he's hyped to be the strongest but yet he hasn't proven one bit why he deserves that title, that is the reason why people refuse to accept/believe that Hiruzen is actually stronger, his actions never proved so unlike Hashirama's actions.

The likes of Hiruzen doesn't deserve the title as a shinobi God because he's just not worthy of that, not to mention Rikudo Sennin took that title already, on his dead bed creating a Chibaku Tensei which sealed the Juubi and then he used Creation of all things to separate the Juubi's chakra into other Tailed Beasts, that's something to consider a God.

Considering the author of the series has stated this, to say he doesn't deserve it is stupid. And the fact that he share's the same nickname with the Sage of the Six Paths is rather telling actually. And the Sage didn't get that nickname on his deathbed. o.o

And after Hiruzen died, Enma said that the battle was miserable compared to him in his prime. (miserable, Horrible, Way Worse) there are alot of words that can explain what miserable mean but its obvious he was saying that the battle was way no where near what he could do in his prime.. YETTT he still won..

I'll use logical common sense over baseless hype every time.

I'll just post a few of my posts that I posted previously in this thread.

The manga states a lot of things that aren't true. People seem to want to believe that Kishi's a God and he doesn't make mistakes. The fact is he's contradicted himself several times in this manga.

By your logic Itachi's invincible, amaterasu can't be avoided, Minato strength is unparalleled, Minato himself is an unparalleled shinobi, amaterasu is as hot as the sun, Tobi is Madara, Tobi didn't summon the kyuubi to attack the leaf village, and etc. Since Kishi's word is law then none of these can be refuted by your logic.

It seems some people have never heard of contradictions or hyperbole.

I use common sense over character statements that are rather fallible. I've already shown you several examples of that. Based on the jutsu and feats Hashirama has Hiruzen can't compare to him, which is why Hiruzen fans like yourself resort to hype because you know that. By hype Minato's stronger than edo Madara, but do you and others believe that? Hell no. Neither do I lol.

The databook also says kamui can't be avoided, so is that true? I'd guarantee you'd say no.

You're free to believe what you want, but Hashirama>Hiruzen IMO. That's not changing unless we eventually see prime Hiruzen and he shows me something to change my mind.

As said in my posts above Kishi says a lot of things, but they're not all true now are they? Exactly. If Kishi's word is law then none of the points in my posts above can be refuted by ANYONE yet people still refute them, which simply shows how hypocritical people can be when it pertains to certain characters.

The fact is based on what we've seen of the two Hiruzen can't in anyway compare to Hashirama, which is why everyones evidence for Hiruzen being stronger than Hashirama is based on baseless hype.

There is a reason why everyone needs hashi cells to use hax jutsus. Not to mention that the senju are directly descendants of the SO6P and were the strongest clan during the war era. Without seeing hiruzen´s prime, I will have to go with Hashi. And I still do not understand why hype is not a legit reason to back up a character who hasnt fought in the manga. So what is the point of arguing who is the strongest if the author hasnt shown what hashi is capable of?! If you really wanna make vs threads of hashi u need to use what the author has given which is all hype. BTw I voted for hashi because hashi hype >>> hiruzen hype.
