madara didn't say he IS the strongest, he said he WAS the strongest shinobi.

i would love to get two flashback on both hiruzen and hashirama fighting all out..i pray to god...this is really getting out of hand...i am still waiting for someone to tell me HOW hiruzen will beat hashirama

i dont think they can because Hashirama would crush Hiruzen

"Creator of Edo Tensei" not so much info about him whatsoever (Which I would like to know).

3rd:
"The strongest, called the Proffesor." -Iruka.
"God of Shinobi" - Orochimaru.

4th:
"The one who cannot be surpassed, considered the savior" -Fourth Raikage A.
"An infinite amount of potential" -Jiraiya.

5th:
"Best medical shinobi"


Conclusion? All of the comments that people made from the Kages were from the generation they lived in. Orochimaru commented on the 3rd Hokage because he grew and developed with him, same with Iruka. Madara only knew about Hashirama during his life time. The Raikage never fought other Hokages and Jiraiya never taught other Kages (Though he was taught by the Third). Get my point?

Can we just end the discussion with "Every Hokage has strengths and weaknesses, capable of destroying many shinobi, though they will never be able to fight each other in their full might"

Exactly, they** know nothing. They CALL him the strongest because they are alive to see Hiruzen's power. No one is going to call Hashirama the strongest if they haven't seen his power which none of these people have. (really I'm interested as to why you guys think Iruka and his friends are Konoho history masters and write the law on everything). Hwoever, those who have seen Hashirama's power and were alive during that time CALLED him the strongest.

He was trained by him and would know all his jutsu's and how to counter them..

With his arsenal of jutsu, which is stressed in the databook... You know, his title the professor? Having over 1000 jutsus, , + Enma was easily able to destroy hashirama's moukoton..

And that's just hiruzen alone...According to databook him together with enma was a powerhouse..

We don't know alot about enma however...We know he can't be hurt easily, he has enough strength to push the 100% nine tails out of the village, and he has different transformation modes..

I used to think Harishima was stronger, but since it's stated in the databook it's really hard to argue against that :shrug:

I mean yea both Hashi and Hiruzen are called the strongest by multiple characters, but I think the databoook should trump that. Idk maybe not

No Hashirama is also the strongest of this generation too Kabuto said there aren't any shinobi like him which means Nagato,Itachi and all the edos he brought back aren't on his level. I think BM Naruto and Tobi can beat him though since Kabuto never saw them fight but Hashirama is obviously to > Nagato. Here's the proof

But to summarize the hype hiruzen was given

In his prime
Praised as the strongest hokage
God of shinobi
Professor

In old age
Considered by many to be the strongest of the current 5 kages, Which included - Gaara's father, Onoki, A, Mei

I don't believe he was stated to be the strongest ninja in the ninja world, Nor do I believe that... I can count alot of ninja who can probably beat him..

But as for his former masters, he surpassed them both
