OT: Orochimaru was controlling them two. Their jutsu were also nerfed. You saw what Tobirama and Hashirama could do in this war when they were fighting. Hiruzen is great but he can't handle that much heat.

But those kages were weak....and look how strong they were, if orochimaru was able to control those two at a higher power they would have killed Hiruzen

How were they weak?

Also remember that those are pt.1 powerlevels, they started inflating in pt.2. The Orochimaru that Hiruzen beat is supposed to be far stronger than pt.2 Orochimaru, yet pt.2 Orochimaru's feats shit all over pt.1 Orochimaru's feats.

Orochimaru only turned them into mindless killing machines, and those mind-erasing fuda also increased their strength; something he did not give them in the war.
