You mean the fact that he could regenerate himself? I doubt he could regenerate parts of his body if they are cut apart, so Edo tensei is better than his regeneration abilities. For example, Hiruzen cut his foot with an explosiv tag. If he was alive, his regeneration abilities would have done nothing at that moment. Physically speaking also i don't see the difference between the one you show me and the one who fought Hiruzen. So personally i don't think there was a difference except from the fact that Orochimaru was controlling him

um wtf? real hashirama makes forests in an instant. edo hashirama took a while to make a colony of trees. there is a difference.
