I'm sure Hashirama and Tobirama were chilling, talking about the good old days when they were in Heaven. They were most likely happy where they were, Hashirama was probably reunited with Mito. Then bam!, Hiruzen doomed them along with himself into forever being sealed in the Death God. I'm sure there was another way to seal them. If not, then he should've just died and let other Leaf shinobi find a better way to seal them. Saving lives aren't worth dooming two, great people to a crappy eternity imo.

Thread Tittle: So why is he Hokage again? <LOL> Anyway. Their was no other way of Sealing the Souls of Edo Tensei. He probably wanted a proper Sealing Technique and not some Binding Technique that makes the souls remain on the earth forever. Also, he wanted to kill Orochimaru in the processes so he killed three birds with one stone.

Dude you do realize that Hiruzen was 69 right. So what he sealed them. DO YOU READ THE MANGA. ALL THE HOKAGES ARE SEALED IN THE DEATH GOD. So matter of fact, He reunited the kages together so actually the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th are all together drinking tea
