Exactly I'm just logically following the paper trail so to speak. It makes sense for Hiruzen to teach Minato FTG because he was the Second's pupil but also its likely he could use it himself in the same manner as the second perhaps but he didn't change it or advance it like Minato obviously did.

Totally agree with this one.

Donno if anyone mentioned this during the Hokage fest but during chapter 631 we clearly see the second third and fourth Hokage warp to Hiraishin marked locations in order to seal the Juubi within the barrier.

It shows quite obviously that Hiruzen knows FTG. It also indicates that FTG has different "speeds" and is not instantaneous as for example the speed of light; if it was then the second and third would be comparable in speed to the forth, their FTG speeds quite obviously are not the same. The technique seems to be dependent on the capability of its user and is not an instant ticket to badassery.

Every one who life in minato time know about ftg, but no one can do it solo....the personal guard need 3 of them, 3rd???he know about ftg, but he can't use it....

If he know how to use it....then in kyubi attack 4th don't need to death and naruto manga never reach 10 years.....so think again...

This is why Minato told Tobirama and Hiruzen to step in front of him.

Most likely he knows the mechanics and may actually be able to preform it by himself. But he probably cant do it in combat situations because he isnt that great at it.

Same way Kakashi knows Rasengan but has never used it in battle.
