I'm still stunned at how people needed this to tell them that he is an incredible hokage. Hashi and Tobi were speed blitzed by Obito yet no one said they sucked when that happened. When the tree came out no one was able to save Naruto but Hiruzen came to the rescue with his power pole, when that happened no one remarked how he was able to do so. Now that all of the Kages have no chakra and he's fighting spiral zetsu 1on1 everyone says he's good now. NAH he was good when he fought Oro, weaker Tobi, weaker Hashi, and was fighting the effects of being in his old age. They don't give the title "God of Shinobi" to anyone.

OT: Well I doubt some people care whether or not Hiruzen becomes powerful or not. Some people just don't like his character. However, it is very sad to come up with excuses to deny his hype/feats. Although some people do tend to over exaggerate them.

It's funny how people think tsunade>hiruzen yet hiruzen fought well against orochimaru + 2 kage level edo's (they weren't at full power but were still kage level at best). Tsunade at the time wouldn't have done any better against orochimaru if she were in hiruzen's shoes and of course, this is an obvious fact.
