Why? Because it's my opinion and Hiruzen knew Hashirama and Tobirama personally. He has seen their techniques because they have both taught him. I'm pretty sure Hiruzen would know how to counter his own teachers. Why would they teach him if they knew he was not going to surpass them. Aren't the new generations suppose to pass the old ones? Moreover Hiruzen already admitted that he was once at some point the strongest Hokage. Iruka said he is the strongest Hokage to the Academy students. Hiruzen replied with "Hey, Iruka!! Don't use past tense!!" Yes I know Irkua is weak but Iruka is a teacher in the academy, he should be able to know the History well

Your opinion is not fact.Not to mention when kabuto spoke of hashirama he said of his generation not "of all time"Being his student can give him insight others would not have if he fights him but that does not mean he wins automatically.Your reasoning is seriously flawed
