1. And Kabuto thought he could take on 3 tails Naruto, was 1 shotted. Zabuza thought he would kill Kakashi, he was the one edo tensei. It mean nothing if a character has confidence he can win. Hiruzen won that fight because Orochimaru played too much. Simple as that.

2. Hiruzen admits superiority over his peers, not Tobirama. SMH. Tobirama wasnt an option in the plan until he decided to step in. The reason why Tobirama was left behind was because HE was the best. You mean Old Hiruzen's stats. Cause if it were a Prime Hiruzen he would have all 5's making him a total 40. His stats are 34 because of old age.

And 34.5 is also Kakashis old stats, he's advanced a lot since then. And edo Hiruzen has unlimited chakra and has still done nothing.
