but he debates using kishi as a shield , even though kishi obviously never did or very unlikely that he ever told this guy anything , its not his opinion , hes trying to force other peoples opinions to become one with his... and he fails at itMaybe, but still its his opinion and he is entitled to it, just as you and me are to ours.

A ninjas prime is no where 19 or 20.... it's around 40..diff for diff people.. kakashi said himself he still had alot of room to grow and he's like 30

The biggest factor here would be that hiruzen has almost full info on his sensei's jutsu, while hashirama knows nothing about him really, pre knowledge in a fight is gamechanging, ask sasori vs sakura/chiyo

Thats only part of the thread though.
Danzo was still almost equal to Hiruzen and even with upgrades he was only a little stronger than MS Sasuke.
Hashirama wasn't his actual sensei he only helped, we also don't know what Jutsus Hiruzen would have info on.
Even if you know what powers the opponent has, it doesn't mean you can counter it.
For example Orochimaru knows Itachi's Genjutsu, but he himself says that he wouldn't be able to defeat him.

How is that equal or near it? there is obviously a power gap that danzo tried to close by making improvements to himself, but even in the end he still said he couldn't do it

they way he said "a paralysis genjutsu?! to think i'd be caught in one" etc, hints he had no idea itachi was capable of such things

He states that Hiruzen was always one step ahead of him. Meaning he wasn't that far ahead, but always ahead.
He never said he was miles away from him.
The second also states that they were rivals. If Hiruzen was that much stronger there would be nothing competitive about it.
He also might be talking about never being able to become Hokage.

No Tobirama was his Sensei Hashirama was more of an assistant. He did train Hiruzen, but he wasn't his sensei.
I'm talking about after he got caught. He states that he would lose to him despite knowing his genjutsu.

I don't see why they would talk about hokageship considering there would have been no way for danzo to become hokage after tobirama appointed hiruzen..it's not something you can fight for or have a rivalry for after its said and done

I wrote it because the page right before the one you posted He states he was never able to become hokage. He could just be saying he was never able to accomplish what Hiruzen did.
Even if I am wrong, Dan still states that only Hashirama would be able to defeat Madara.

That however was proven wrong before they was even stated. Has Madara been beaten by anyone else.
Dan has seen Hiruzen in his prime and still believes only Hashirama can defeat him. Whether or not he is correct is irrelevant.
