Yeah that's pretty much thread. Everything else here is meaningless unless you also assume that Hiruko get's to ambush itachi and has full intel not to look into his eyes but even that's iffy because he's been shown to cast genjutsu with a twitch of his finger at people who don't make eye contact.

I heard counters for everything except Genjutsu Itachi wins this. Sakura took multiple punches from this kid Itachi could do the same. Raikage level speed is that's nothing but pure assumption. Not to mention Raikage needed to prep his bodyflicker to dodge Amaterasu so i don't see this kid dodging it. Absorbing Ninjutsu would be useless against Amaterasu because it's not visible until it hits you.

Flimsy genjutsu? His genjutsu is the best in the series. It's his trademark, more so than random uchiha stuff like fire jutsu or even his special susanoo. Even his manifestation of mangekyou comes with an enhanced genjutsu that's been shown to be all but unbreakable if you don't also have a mangekyou. Even in the case of forbidden mangekyou techniques, he uses Izanami which is a genjutsu.

If you can't point to a single better genjutsu user in the series, then don't brush off itachi's genjutsu as 'such a flimsy genjutsu that only trash like orochimaru (...the s-rank ninja) would get caught in it'.

Orochimaru is a 5 in genjutsu... That's the highest level you can attain and he was even surprised genjutsu worked... You know this is a BS argument. Orochimaru being caught in genjutsu confirms any non-dojutsu user is highly susceptible. That's a fact.

I'm saying that to the people who think Itachi could defeat this above Sannin ninja with just basic sharingan genjutsu (the one Itachi used to daze the Konoha guard) which we can only assume is basic level genjutsu.

I'm not saying Itachi couldn't genjutsu Hiruko (Izanami isnt working though) hey even Ephemeral could mess with him, i'm just saying- it's not some instant inescapable one-shot. Hiruko has equal chances of frazzling him with huge scale ninjutsu (which trumps Itachis) and especially with the Raikage level speed I think he stands just a good of a chance of getting Itachi as vice versa. If Itachi goes Susanoo it's all over for him and considering Itachi won't know that, he can be in trouble.

It's a god tool. It's existence in the manga does not make sense at all. It's not speculation to say a snake or Orochimaru could easily carry it in it's mouth. That's NOT what speculation is.

Saying that something we haven't really seen can do something we haven't see it do IS speculation.

That's hardly the prime moment of his power though. The 5 Nations were scared to fight him and forced the Leaf to deal with him, and even then Tsunade's only plan was to send the Leaf's strongest ninja to commit suicide to trick him.

It took Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Team Asuma, Team Guy and Team Kurenai to defeat him. And even then, it was only down to one specific jutsu mysteriously not being able to be absorbed that led to his death. He's no weakling, that's just some gif I used for decoration. He's stronger than any of the Sannin.
