Hirudora inconsistency?(Spoilers if you haven't read 608)

Ok, so in this chapter, Guy was able to push back and blast Madara with Hirudora. However, I find this to be an inconsistency. AgainstKisame, Guy established that Hirudora was simply a high speed punch amplified by air pressure, which creates that explosion-looking thing.

Now in this chap, Guy shot it. If it's a punch, how can he shoot it? We know he didn't punch because his arms are restrained and his fingers were still interlocked afterwards. Did Kishi just change what was alreadyestablished?

When Gai did it last he 'shot' it as well (he was underwater). Its just a really fast movement that creates an air pressure wave that explodes when it hits a target. He doesn't have to move his hands very far he just needs to move them a small distance but quickly to create the air pressure.

Also Gai seems to have some control over it since we also saw it have a brief scrap with Kisame's shark bullet. Think of it like a water dragon jutsu - just made of air pressure.

The punch is made before using hirudora when he slams his fist into his hand. The tiger hand makes the impression.

He was using gates when he did that. There was a glow around his hands that proves it

Well, maybe he said it was a punch but, actually the target gets hit by the air pressure that Guy creates when he places his palm facing forward in front of his face with one hand and then taps it with his other hand, formed into a fist.

Guy also said that Hirudora is a one-hit kill technique but, Kisame was still able to survive the attack. :shrug:
