i think he is really talented, being a mangaka is tough and he handles it like a piece of cake
he can realease regular chapters as well as extra long chapters, also can release ft zero monthly and acts as an editor to the monthly ft magazine that has 4 spin offs and also works with anime team
and even tweets graffiti regularly
and he is the mangaka with highest followers in twitter i guess
he can even release 7 chapters in 2 weeks
i have not heard of anyone pulling out a stunt like that
he also did well and made a comeback after gmg arc

Hiro > Your favourite because he did a Monster Hunter manga. :bdpf: It's got friendship crap and a bit of fan service tho, plus it's like 12 chapters... Lol

Is it even possible to be more dedicated than Oda? :|
06. Eiichiro Oda's Lifestyle
What does it take to be the best mangaka? Well, certainly it takes lot of dedication, wish to know more about how Oda lives out his everyday life? Do note, some of the information related to his lifestyle is from 2013, certain aspects of his lifestyle may have changed now!
He is a smoker (in-fact, a chain smoker) and fans believe this is due to the "stress" involved in the profession
He prefers to work with the least amount of assistants required, he prefers to draw majority of the chapters himself
He has made it clear that he doesn't like to copy and paste old art into new chapters, if a event or events have already been illustrated and needs to be re-used, he draws them all over again
He wakes up at 5 am, works until 2 am (21 hours!) and sleeps from 2 am until 5 am (3 hours) on an average day
He "lives" in his workplace, his family visits him at his workplace, and he spends an average of one day with them without having to work at the same time
When asked "how does he blow of stress" Oda stated that he blows of stress by "writing an interesting manga." When asked "when does he feel the happiest" he answered "while writing an interesting manga"
He listens to "Soul" music at his workplace
When asked what is his schedule for the week, he answered "three days of sketching and three days of working on the final piece"
Eiichiro Oda dreams about products that can’t be made with present technology

04. Eiichiro Oda's Dedication To One Piece And His Fans
With the series now going on for more than 15 years, it's given that Oda is dedicated to the series as well as the fans who support him. But did you know to what extent his dedication goes to? Well, if you though his dedication ended with just working 21 hours a day, 6 days a week, you are wrong! When Eiichiro Oda was hospitalized in 2013, Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto's mangaka) visited him at the hospital and witnessed Oda drawing next chapters of One Piece while being bedridden!

That's right, even being bedridden doesn't stop him from working on One Piece, the only way to keep him away is to knock him out with really strong sleeping gas! If that isn't dedication, then I frankly don't know what is. And it isn't because Eiichiro Oda needs to work, he earns approximately 2 Billion Yen (about 25 million U.S Dollars) from the royalties related to One Piece each year! He doesn't need to work, it's just his dedication that keeps driving him forward even at a place he ought to rest!

i am not talking about dedication here though, every mangaka loves his manga and characters and is fully dedicated to his/her work
my headline is about talent, how he handles to draw about 100-110 pages in a month and even gets the time to edit 4 spinoff mangas as well as tweet graffities regularly
a normal mangaka cant even add 1 extra page ,its really tough to draw an extra page per week, naruto's special chapters have only 2 extra pages, and kishimoto has the best set of assistant and is one of the most talented artist in the industry, but mashima can easily draw 10-20 extra pages per week, including colour pages
moreover he sleeps for about 7-8 hours as his assistant or his editor said it in some interviews, thats something most of the mangakas envy for

He's cool. I wonder tough, how often do they have health problems?? o_O
he is working nonstop ,and he have no health issues
also he has not taken a single break for like 3-4 years, just the official holidays

That's amasing. Mangaka usually spend 90% of their time drawing in a crouched position. Their back, neck and lower part of the spine are in serious trouble. I know myself since I have such problems from drawing too much.

That goes without saying.I don't like to talk much about it.Anyone who is reading FT manga can easily guess this tho. Also he is a gaming freak. And he has time and patience to read the Fan letters from all over the world and even in twitter tho.

I'm not that much of a fan of Fairy Tail ever since that blatant display of fanservice during that one chapter when the giants were unfrozen.

But besides that. He's really amazing at creating worlds that seem like an endless adventure. Kind of like what Oda does with One Piece.

his themes and tropes have been present from the beginning. people complain about the friendship aspect. THATS FAIRYTAIL. i mean you can want it how you want it but it won't change. if you're still reading this far along, something has to have hooked you. or you're a self hating idiot to force yourself to read something you dislike. :stfu:

OT: definitely talented. not a thing is wrong with the quality either. character design is solid. can see influences from other mangaka here and there but thats with any manga. has picked up again since gmg i must agree.
