I never really knew understand this jutsu before. But after reading in databook, it just basic version of hiraishin level 2.
I use think that he he do short range teleport through oppoenent. But no. He teleport behind opponent or in blind spot and then he lunge with shunshin. Only complex part is getting behind oppoennt surprsingly with hiraishin. But the jutsu is just a simple slash. I kept wondering why it was only B rank while hiraishin 2 was A rank. I understand it better now. Kishi made the jitsu seem more complex that it looks. Its just shunshin, i always thought he teleport.

An attack to the unguarded enemy from the air emerges a blade to the rear!!
(A desperate/still-water blade emerges from thin air to stab the unguarded enemy!!)
(Piercing the unaware from nothingness, emerges a blade out of still-water!!)
One of the utilised variations of “Hiraishin no jutsu” (Flying Thunder God technique).
