Anime is a fad now. The fan base is advocating eccentricity rather than originally. There's no hope for it in the future. At least we have some intelligent fans who are independent thinkers and can cognize originally. Soon they will give up on anime once their favorite manga/ man gas are done.

No, they'll just move on to another long-running series. Simple as that. If lack of originality was really that detrimental to a medium's longevity, the entire entertainment industry would've vanished one or two decades ago.

Nothing is 100 original because it will ultimately be a semblance of something. Inspirations is a practice, making your mangas flat out stupid isn't

Focus on old anime then. Be hipster. Watch Astro Boy, Getter Robot, and Robotech.

IT's okay, most of the type of people you are describing don't really know more than the average casual reader.

I'm not talking about liking old anime that is a different thing. Liking anime when it first comes out for its vogue traits is a fad.And if the anime had an impressive run or readership in its vintage epoch then that makes it not fad but more so a novelty of its time. To read old mangas to not read newer ones though, is more so a polemic point. Still old manga can be either followed blindly or willingly . to read a manga because it's new and trendy is a fad, because it is usually forgotten and made nulled. The fads this time are eccentric ,and are done poorly. Only notable ones in the past year or two is AoT and couple others.

Sorry
Tokoyo Ghoul; Fad, has nothing for it, people are just riding the hype

Akame a kill? Fad, just a bunch of chicks with light sabers, same as latter

Kill LA kill; fad, hentai, most anime fans are can't hone self control when it comes to that.

All them are eccentric, and have no characterization worth denoting. Simple story, convoluted and perverted elements=sell for vulnerable readers

Exactly, which means that no fan base for any form of entertainment can actually advocate originality. The way you say it, more than half the anime coming out now are garbage and the industry will ultimately crumble because of it, which is true to an extent, but the same can be said for films and TV shows. You can't just expect every anime or even a majority of them to be legitimately good every year, but there's always a handful that do succeed in breathing new life into the anime industry.

No, you're right. I think AOT and old schools like hxh, naruto, and one piece are good. It's just just the general fan base are liking the worst animes ever written in this year and ignorantly promoting eccentricity. I get what you are saying though. Eventually gaming and television shows will stop mangas from growing absolutely. I would say in the next 10 years

Sorry but AoT is bad and all the other ones you mentioned are perfect examples for me to use. These series aren't necessarily a fad, they get recognition because of the fan base reading them. The majority of those readers are pre-teens to early teens,15-16, who think violence, vulgarity and nudity equate maturity.

So far Tokyo Ghoul and AgK have been better than AoT, I've went in blind though so I'm solely basing all 3 on the anime alone, TG has pretty nice art and animation as for plot idk what the plot is aside from there's flesh eating humans and a kid was made into one via organ transplant, they've still been able to pull some "didn't see that coming" moments like when the kids friend's friend ends up being a ghoul too. I'd say AgK and AoT were equal but AoT relied way more on the violence in the beginning to carry them, AgK had what 3 maybe up to 5 people die in the first episode? AoT had hundreds if not more.

Kids are always going to be attracted to stuff like that because it makes them feel a little bit older, it let's them feel like their doing something they shouldn't be by reading stuff with over the top antics whether it be violence, language or fan service. This new wave of manga is a result of newer generations constantly crying that previous works are too childish.

Well those gullible adolescents who are prone to reading it for mature content are dazzled by shock value or glorified enigma. That doesn't prove you're mature but more inclined to be a muddled child. That stuff is just blood and guts without a story. AOT to me is good, and not because of gore either. It compels me to read it because its cataclysm and apocalyptic story is done perfectly whether you like to confess it or not. It's actually a story with a plot that it has with equity. Yes its gimmick is titans but it operates nicely in the story.

The Children liking blood and sexual innuendos will have a longer time becoming mature. If they believe that desenitizes them from life calamities or equates to to it they're negligent and incompetent.

The first part is exactly what I said. As for AoT, everyone has their preferences, but their "cataclysm and apocalyptic story" is not done perfectly. It's set in a dystopian future where for some unexplained reason they've reverted to a 14th century living style, yet they have the technology to make free mobility machines and they still have to fight the Titans with old style cannons and swords. I'll admit I haven't stayed with it because it didn't compel me to keep reading, the only thing I wondered about was his dad's basement and they didn't really do enough with it to entice me to find out, so Idk whether or not the story improved but as for the story that the 1st season carried it was mediocre at best. In all honesty it's because of AoT I refuse to get sucked into the hype anymore, I'll check out anime getting a lot of talk but I'm not going in with the expectations of everyone talking about it anymore, AoT fans made AoT impossible to live up to the gossip.

80-90% of originality died with the bard.

Yeah despondency in a timeframe such as that is quaint, but they haven't fully developed civilians and technology because of the titans. It as if they are entering the industrial era though. Could be to show how the titans have rendered human advancement on halt. Yeah, I agree, hype leads to disappointment. I have a threshold though and Aot is close to daft and outrageous and anime's but still good enough for me to read. I'll end it here though. Your point makes sense to me, I'll have to continue this another day.
