^^ The reason behind Kaguya getting mad and acting in such evil way is still unknown even to Hagoromo, her son. In the begning Kaguya was carrying and lovely for people. Hagoromo only suspect eating of forbidden fruit is what changed her so much.

^^ Instead of releasing trapped people right away, Both Naruto and Sasuke put it on latter time, could this delay come with no consequences ? Well we know Kaguya wanted to create Zetsu army for some unkown purpouse but it could give Kaguya also other profit.

^^ Kaguya was able to absorb chakra from all living beings trapped inside Infinite Tsukuyiomi.

2) Consuming forbidden fruit

Plot for it to happen: Naruto keep hanging around Sakura while his crush/affection towards her slowly died out but it was unkown to certain girl named Hinata Hyuuga, who fell in such desppair that she tempted by some voice(maybe spiral Zetsu) found and consumed Forbidden fruit. Somehow allowing Kaguya or rather rabbit demon chakra to posses her.

Meanwhile Sakura's crush for Sasuke turns into fully developed love while somewhere Sasuke alerted by powerful foul chakra came back gathering with Naruto and everyone else to stop possesed Hinata. Overhelmed Possesed Hinata destroys moon throwing pieces of it at earth.

In Fight Sasuke notices that he cares more and more about Sakura begining to develop feelings for her. Naruto understands how much he was fool for forgeting/now having time about/for Hinata leading him finally to confess and prove his feelings towards her as this is the only way to make Hinata win fight for body and regain her awarness.

^^ Honestly I would love to see that, wether it would be called fan service or no.

Besides If Kaguya with such power was able to fight at level although she lacked skills and battle combat then Hinata with better use of Byakugan at least would be much better

I wouldn't want that. Hinata would be a fool to accept being naruto's silver medal. I mean it took her being possessed and turning evil for the guy to switch to her. Your story makes it seem like naruto confessed to liking her because sasuke started to have feelings for sakura meaning he doesn't have a chance and he wants to stop this scenario from repeating itself by staying with hinata. This would suggest that naruto's feelings for her are fake.

Naruto would also come off as a terrible person who plays off with hinata's feelings.

Good effort, but I just don't like the story U_U

Your story makes it seem like naruto confessed to liking her because sasuke started to have feelings for sakura meaning he doesn't have a chance and he wants to stop this scenario from repeating itself by staying with hinata. This would suggest that naruto's feelings for her are fake.

We would get Naruhina and SasuSaku in quite leggit and explainable way.

^^ Bold part, He would develop feelings for Hinata in meantime as well. By hanging around Sakura I didn;t mean he would have no time for Hinata, he would hang around Sakura as friend caring for her due to Sasuke not being with her lol.
