In an alternate universe where Hiashi didn't save Hinata, Hinata would have been taken to the Hidden Cloud. Now, hear me out. The Cloud wouldn't just want a Byakugan user for one generation and then it's gone, they'll want more. They'd force her to bear children before going out into the battle field and risking death.

I couldn't agree more, however there are some who beleive the cloud would've been some lovey dovey people who wouldn't use her. They may hold the belief that Ay would've let Hinata serve Kumo any other way maybe as a ninja etc but he would never allow Bee (a weapon of importance out of his sight) let alone Hinata (a holder of the Byakugan).

Ay is evil by out standards however that is the way the ninja world operated and Hinata would've served her purpose in it.

She was three, they didn't care about potential, merely getting someone with the Blood limit was enough for them. Getting an older person with potential was useless, they'd merely resist the kidnapping.

If I were them and I tried kidnapping Sasuke, whether or not he was the next Madara wouldn't be a concern of mine.

They were happy to receive even a branch member like Hizashi's dead body as well, so dead or alive didn't matter to them and the dead don't resist at all and yet they chose to kidnap Hinata.

Cloud didn't bother about Sasuke.
