Middle of a lake? That means at the beginning theirs nothing for sakura to smash, not that would change much but hinata should take this.

hinata is no suigetsu/kisame,zabuza, she wont have any advantage in water. sakura punches in the lakewater and hinata gets swept away by the wave, then crashes onto the shore. sakura gets on land punches again. hinata's body is nowhere to be found

(btw i hate sakura from the bottom of my heart and i support naru-hina, but poor baby hinata is very weak tbh )

Do we have any indication that the lake is too deep for Sakura to land a forceful punch to its ground terrain? Regardless, close quarter combat with Sakura wouldn't be wise for Hinata.

Hinata is not winning this Cuz she is Hyuuga.

By feats she is not impressive at all, people think she has good reflexes/speed because Neji has them, or good long range because Hiashi has it.

She have tripped over a pebble. Sakura has ranged attacks even on water btw, smoke bombs followed by poisoned kunai snipe ends her.

If Hinata's palms clash with Sakura's chakra-concentrated knuckles, then she won't be able to utilize anymore Taijutsu based assaults since Hinata's hands would be disabled. Even Kabuto and Orochimaru had to keep their distance from an incoming direct punch by Tsunade, that is arguably slower in movement and weaker in strength.

Ugh. Posting images is too much work, I'll just just try to say most reasons. Sakura has shown to "blitz" (I guess that's the word to use) Sasori's Kazekage puppet charging at her full force, she blitzed a Zetsu instantly that was charging towards her, and this seemed pretty fast

I don't recall ever seeing Hinata ever having such speed.

I never said Hyuga =/= automatically good at taijutsu... I said they aren't automatically good. Like sure, Hinata is a Hyuga, but I believe she lacks speed to be on Sakura's level in CQC. I never said that Sakura wins automatically just because she has brute strength, read my first post again, I said "FEATS". Yes Hinata has the byakugan and can see it coming, but I think she lacks speed to evade any hit that Sakura can throw out of no where. If Sakura were some how to see herself get to get outclassed in CQC and not take the risk, then slug solos.

I never said Hyuga were bad at taijutsu... So I have no reason to reply about that. I was trying to imply that if you're born into a strong clan, it doesn't automatically make you good, you have to work for it. Hinata is working for it, but I don't think she's "there" yet.
