Hinata vs Sakura OMG this I haven't seen this one before
I amaze myself on the number of times I say I'm not going to do this again but every time I see this battle, I can't help but place my full opinions on this.
My vote is for Hinata, and here is my explination (prepare for wall of text no jutsu, my signature)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sakura and Hinata both specialize in taijutsu. Hinata coming from a clan of taijutsu specialists baring one of the 3 great dojutsu (not so great compared to Sharingan and Rinningan but whatevs), and Sakura coming being a medic, trained in defensive close ranged combat by perhaps the strongest medic in the in the narutoverse.
Both kunoichi specialize in defensive based taijutsu, Hinata's style steming from a chinese internal style of fighting Baguazhang (literally meaning Eight Trigrams Palm) which is a naturally defensive style. Sakura's medical training has stressed avoiding combat, meaning defensive and evasion based techniques.
Now both taijutsu styles utilize chakra, Hinata's focus is on channeling her chakra into her opponent's body, disrupting their flow/damaging internal organs. Sakura's style is channeling her charka externally to cause massive physical damage...that's the background of their styles of fighting.
Now I have seen in previous threads people arguing for Sakura saying "one hit and it's over" the same can be said for Hinata. Sakura kills with one hit externally, while Hinata kills with one hit internally. Remember how Hiyashi killed Kumo's head-nin at the time when they tried to kidnap Hinata? That is the power of the Gentle fist style of combat, intensive strength is not needed to take down their opponent. People have also said not to compare Hiyashi to Hinata's level, simply because he could kill in one blow doesn't mean she could. Well considering it's a simple open palm strike, it shouldn't be too contriversial. Understand something, the way the chakra hits one's body when attacked by a gentle fist user is the same from being hit with a simple physical punch. The only difference is it skips the outside layer of skin, bone, and tissue, and heads for the organs and the vital points. That is, in my belief, more affective. You exert small physical effort to cause the same amount or more damage then with a externally focused punch. My point is, Hinata has the capability of killing Sakura with one simple strike as well.
I've seen people say that because Sakura is a medical shinobi, she can simply heal herself if damaged. However, they forget that gentle fist can shut down one's flow of chakra, which means no medical ninjutsu for Sakura if hit...oh wait, that also means no chakra enhanced strength so no more "one hit KO" The possibility of Sakura getting hit by Hinata is the same, if not more then the chances of Hinata getting hit by Sakura. Hinata has near 360 degree vision, that keeps her guard and reflexes up. Unless Sakura knows where the blind spot is and how to exploit it she cannot sneak attack Hinata. Hinata and Sakura's speed are near the same, and we've seen Hinata demonstrate greater technique then Sakura in terms of taijutsu. Both are strong in their own right, however technique is what really decides a taijutsu battle.
Another common agurment for Sakura is that, she was trained by Tsunade one of the ledgendary Sannin. That somehow causes them to believe that Sakura is naturally better because of her "teacher". I have two aruguments to rebut those statements.
1. The teacher doesn't decide how the student turns out. I hate when people say (not just on the base but in real life) that there are no bad students, only bad teachers. That's a load of bs, if the student doesn't apply themself or just can't understand the lessons, it's not the teacher's fault if they try everything in their power to shape them. I'm in no way suggesting that Sakura didn't apply herself, her skills disprove that already. I'm not saying that the teacher doesn't make a difference, however, it doesn't automatically determine the level of success of the student. Look at Sasuke and Naruto, who were also trained by Sannin and then look at Sakura. Notice how Naru and Sasu's level is far superior to Sakura's yet all they were all trained by sannin. The teacher doesn't make the student, the student makes themselves, with guidance from their mentors.
2. Take note Sakura has only been training under Tsunade for 3 years. Hinata has been a part of the Hyuuga clan for 16 years and we can safely say she's had at least 10 years training under the Hyuuga gentle fist style. Hinata has more experience and an innate affinity for taijutsu. She may not be as strong as Neji or other members in her clan, but she's definatly very skilled in taijutsu, so the whole teacher thing can be countered or at least set equal for the amount of time Hinata has been training in taijutsu as well.
This is my starting arugment, I could go a little longer but who wants to read that...who wants to read this? Those of you who've acturally read this I thank you but it didn't take much work, I've done this several times before
Also excuse any spelling mistakes or gramer, I've just come back from a long ass training session for a promotions test in Goju and I'm tired as **** U_U
