Hinata surviving the Bijuu Dama seems odd

I think that's maybe a main problem: people who are working with Boruto maybe didn't start from the begginning with Naruto.
So it's kinda like their own story from now on. I mean: they're just taking what matter to them from the previous show.

They didn't even mention it was Madara raging most war. They just mentioned Kaguya (that people from the war DIDN'T even see!!)

That was the manga. In the anime she ran straight to Naruto's position where the Bijuu Dama exploded.

No she didn’t, Sakura in the anime also said they were dragging an unconscious Naruto away and Hinata tried to stop them
