true but sakura was 97% useless through out the series so i'm kinda glad she may do something useful i say give her a shot. Yes i'm all for hinata to get a power up i wonder if her dad changed his mind about making her little sister head of the clan.
Lets see in Manga we have never I believe seen Hinata do Her Father nor Neji rotation defense have we? correct me if I am wrong, but only seen Her in a filler use a variant of it so it's not considered Cannon. So what if Hinata comes up with Her version of Rotation that goes beyond Her Father and Neji's that helps against the Juubi protecting the Alliance and Naruto.

Sorry to break it to you but your precious princess Hinata is a side character therefore she is being left in the sidelines with the fodders, while the main characters do work.

He does actually. Minato confirmed at the the Pain arc that he saw Pain attack the villiage from inside Naruto and he knew Jiraiya died; therefore he should know who Sakura and Hinata are.

Yeah Hinata could use one, but Sakura, unfortunately, is more of a "star" than Hinata so it's only natural Sakura gets some bullshit power boost so she can think she's strong. She's never going to be on par with the legends themselves, but let a kid dream. As for Hinata, I don't really want her to get a super boost. I love Hinata, but I want to see her kickass without a boost. Just let her show how amazing she is without any new special crap.

Hinata may not be in Team Seven - but she never was a side character. Her obscure role was an artifact of her intesely passive personality - a personality that has now matured and is more assertive. Her character will be quite common in the coming chapters - and it is the Hyuuga and the Byakugan that will drive a critical portion of the next story arc.
After all... history repeats itself... and the reincarnation of the Sage needs a Hyuuga accomplice - just as it was before.
On that note - I don't think the Hyuuga actually 'need' a power-up.
At least in theory - no target can really be 'hardened' against their Gentle Fist style. It's equally lethal whether you are Madara, Hashirama, Ebisu, or a 5 year old child. The only thing that changes is the target's ability to prevent a Hyuuga from closing to attack by being able to overpower and/or kill the Hyuuga.
If they were to go with a sort of "powerup" for the Byakugan - I would suggest a sort of inherent 'sage mode' - where the Hyuuga, essentially, uses the Gentle Fist to control the flow of natural chakra in their ambient environment. This would most accurately translate the Taoist nature of the Hyuuga into a more 'powerful' state while not going the way of the Sharingan with it.
