You consider Sasuke's family (specifically his mother), his clan, his upbringing, his own attitude, his own apparent zero desire for female companionship and ask yourself why he's with Sakura.

Because he's lazy.
Because Kishi is lazy.
Because Hinata is already taken :p

Sasuke's only ever spoken to Hinata once, and it was non canon. He said "Shut Up". Great relationship they've got there.

I'd 'ship Sasuhina.

I wish Kishi had written it that way sometimes, that he had one genuine admirer aka Hinata, hidden behind the horde of rabid idiots who like him because he's "cool" or "good looking".

Hinata suits him better, looks-wise too. Kids would have been a hell of a lot cuter too.
Both from old, noble clans - both with doujutsu, both with big brother issues.

Maybe if he got a gentle, sweet, genuine wife he may have stayed at home more often... more than one flying visit in 12 years? Just saying :p

Hinata doesn't even have a brother lol

I can't read a Sasuhina fanfic.

Did Sakura ever want to ravage an unconscious Sasuke?

No but she was willing to abandon her village, family, friends, and mentor so she could get the D... She stalked Sasuke when he went out on his journey, even after she got the D, she was still thirsty for it, while at least Karin got over him.

Karin only got him over since he was taken.

You just want Sasuke to have a wife with some actual benefit from her bloodline. Hyuga/Uchina hybrid would be unstoppable

ragardless Sasuke missed out

he at least could've had Karin (who we know can mature) but alas he has to deal with some nameless clan member addict in a contrived relationship (all of which are in bold are canonical words used by Kishi himself)

Don't blame him for being away honestly. Sakura can be annoying. He is not missing out much.

lol now you are blaming his absence on Sakura when it was only because of his mission, that's a new level of reaching. :lol It wouldn't matter who he was with.

Sakura is the most 'sweet and genuine' wife for him, and Gaiden showed how much they care for each other.

You can try to paint as bad a picture of them in your head and because you still can't get over them getting together, and use edited pictures of Madara, but it still won't change facts. :lol

Besides, Sarada isn't even 12, and Sakura was with Sasuke when she gave birth, and Sasuke was with them for a few years before he left on his search, at least until Sarada could walk.

That makes his absence from her life 8 years at most, and let's not forget that even though he didn't see his daughter due to his mission secrecy, he met Sakura during the mission briefing in Konoha, Naruto was already Hokage so their kids were at least 7 years old (and we do not know if he saw Sakura anytime after).

Get your numbers right.

And like someone else pointed out Sakura was the only girl he cared for and had sufficient interaction with.

Oh c'mon, he's away for years - then back again - then he leaves, again. That can't be described as a happy marriage, surely. Not even with his "mission" as an excuse, it doesn't fly.

And you say eight years like it's insignificant. The girl doesn't know her father and she questions her own paternity - she questions if Sakura is really her mother, if her father really loves her. To her own daughter, it looks fake.

Tragic, but telling how lame their relationship is, even in canon.

Their "care" for one another isn't exactly epic - as shown by those pannels, it's on par with what you usually see between team mates.
Saying "my wife" doesn't express his emotions, more a state of "don't touch my things".

Note: no Hinata doesn't have an older sibling, but she does have a "big brother" in Neji. It fits that role and draws some parallels between herself and Sasuke/Itachi. Older male sibling figure who is a genius/prodigy, who surpasses them, they are overshadowed by in the eyes of their father.
It makes me wish Sasuke had seen her fight with Neji at the Chunin Exams, I'd have like to have seen his reaction to it.

I see denial and downplaying of what was clearly portrayed as genuine love and care. You bring up scans from the first chapter that was meant to introduce the problem and raise doubts in Sarada and our minds, but then ignore the answer and resolution. Of course she would start questioning things when she reaches a certain age and keeps getting the same answer from her mother which - suprise suprise - is the actual truth.

It's quite ironic actually, you say it seems fake, and that might be what the first couple of chapters portrayed, Kishi did that on purpose to create tension, yet the last page pretty much summarizes the Gaiden and the point of it, and actually reads "what reflected there was the real deal - love".

Guilty of downplaying those pannels yourself, aren't you? Just because they were written to create tension, that they came from the first chapter doesn't make them any less valid.
That is the product of their relationship, after Sasuke's absence for eight years.

The resolution comes, sure but I don't find any satisfaction in it - it doesn't ring true, I don't think to myself - wow, Sasuke has really changed, or that he really cares for her. I just don't.
Sakura dropping terms of endearment doesn't work either. Doesn't negate his absence, nor her shoddy mothering.

Ok sure, you don't find it satisfying to yourself, that's perfectly ok. Even I don't find it satisfying but I understand and acknowledge it nonetheless. What came at the start doesn't negate what came after either in the panels I posted. His absence isn't negated, but it is supposedly justified, sure the writing is lousy and rushed, but that is the obvious intent.
