Hinata is the Heroine

Hinata is not the main heroine. She is a developing side character as of now...one defining moment that made Naruto come back to his senses does not make her a main character. She may be more important in the near future, but dont confuse her with a main character as of yet. Minato and Kushina were very important to the story, yet they are not mains. This doesnt mean however, that side characters dont help develop the story/main character which hinata seems to be doing at the moment. She definitely stood up and made herself more important than before. She is my fav female character , but the fact is kishi has on more than one occasion said "sakura is the main heroine"

Did you read my post? I don't know what this is a response to. My post is about sexism and why Heroine and romance are not the same but it seems you mixed them together by using, as your examples, acts of affection or romance (and no other acts worth mentioning that are outside of those categories) to honor a character with the title "Heroine". A mistake that almost never occurs when someone is defining Hero.

^^^ Finally a sensible post without any of that pairing BS. A heroine is a heroine because they're a main character that happens to be female. It's as simple as that.

OP: the most important characteristic of a main character to me is that they transform/change overtime throughout the story. It could either be for better or for worse. Either way, to me both Sakura and Hinata fit the description of great heroines. What differs in the main aspect is, plot wise, Sakura is indeed obviously the main heroine

Hinata being the one to slap Naruto out of his despair, show him moral support, and the one who loves him with all her heart doesn't really make her the main heroine. She isn't trying to be the heroine, she's trying to support the man she loves and win this war for Neji's sake, for everyone else who has given up their lives in this war, for Naruto's sake, and for the world's sake. She isn't the main heroine, Sakura is there is no denying that, but she definitely is a heroine in her own way. Just like Tsunade is, just like the Mizukage is, just like Ino is, just like every other female who has done something to help the world in this series has done. Everyone on the good side is a hero and heroine son :scorps:

I have been told by other people that Sakura isn't acting like a heroine, or that Hinata is more of a heroine than her, but if I think of it Sakura really has the strength of a heroine inside her, and from here on out she's ready to show it, too.

Sakura was the main heroine and as per the concept of manga the side characters are fully developed and then as the end of the series approaches the Main characters are developed and given serious boost.

Uptil now we have developments of all the side characters such Ino-shika-Cho, Neji, Lee, kakashi so now as series approaches the end we'll be seeing serious power ups for the main characters which are Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke which will mark the ending of the series​

haha thanks and Sakura will play a big role if Tsunade dies ((that'll probably happen because it'll cause her to grow up and she does need to lose someone important to her in order to understand Naruto & Sasuke better)) and when Sasuke shows up to the battlefield, i think she isn't relevant right now because she'll be get some character development soon enough.... I would hope.
