Anime department loves to take sides. But it will only work out terribly when people realize how much stuff they edited in for NH when it doesn't become canon.

Not pairing discussion just discussing the bias of the anime department.

Actually no, not always ... Authors do tell some secrets to specific people for some reasons. I will take a famous example: In Harry Potter Movie series JK Rowling told Alan Rickman (Snape) about the fate of his character years before the final revelation and thus he actually defied the directors wishes often and did thing his own way which actually didnt go well in the present view then but matched up later.
