While tracking down the pages for an off-hand argument (to follow), I ran across an interesting little nugget:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

.... Which leads to:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images
[/spoiler]

Neji knew his destiny. He may have struggled against it for a time - but his destiny was fulfilled in a similar manner to his father's.

The Byakugan was modeled after Taoism - and part of a concept in Taoism is that there is such a thing as 'destiny' - a sort of purpose one is predisposed for. The manner in which that destiny is fulfilled is indeterminate - but your overall role is.

This is important when you consider:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

But it doesn't end there:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Okay, so about Hinata?

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

But it's not just there:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

And Jiraiya wasn't the first to inspire Naruto down this path of not giving up - it goes back to the very beginning of the talk of destiny:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

... Again, there's more to it:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

.... Which all comes together:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Since we're reviewing that whole era... I still find Kabuto's role troubling. Given how Kishimoto has treated Hinata's character, with very strong theming with Naruto's... it seems unnecessary to have her suddenly start dying in the middle of the Chuunin Finals after being treated by the Leaf's medics. It also seems rather odd to have Kabuto, whose role had largely been decided by Kishimoto at this point, would be the one to come along and heal her.

Perhaps Orochimaru can enlighten us.

Regardless, it is a very strange sequence of events that has never been revisited. Perhaps it was merely supposed to be symbolism of a sort of 'link' between Naruto and Hinata... but weird little stuff like that has a tendency to pop back up later on as being far more important than it first appears.

Anyway... where does that leave us?

A series of pages will make it rather clear:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

.... Or is THIS what the elder toad's prophecy refers to:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

So, there's a rampaging Jinchuriki of the Juubi getting ready to wipe out the child of prophecy - with power that is absolutely insurmountable.

At least... when you're trying to conquer it with raw force.

Though Sasuke's decision seems to have been different from the Sage's, different from Naruto's, Hashirama's, and Madara's. It might be similar to Obito's - but it's kind of hard to tell.

It would seem, however, that there exists a solution to the "Obito" problem. One who's destiny is entwined with Naruto's - not just by decree, but demonstrable through events.

So - who is suffering from information overload?

Alrighty...mind is KINDA SORTA HALFWAY TO BEING FRIED NEVERTHELESS!

Now what I've picked up from this is that you think stopping Obito will come from a way that is different from straight up decking him in the face. And Hinata has given us some hints.

In short, never backing down despite impossible odds, and continuing to stand as the world crashes around him will give Naruto the strength he needs...and that strength may not be actual combat upgrades, but maybe some way to basically Talk no Jutsu Obito....or to find a way to communicate with the Tailed Beasts inside Obito.....causing them to mess with Obito's control.

Thus, giving Naruto the openings he needs to defeat Obito.

As for the Kabuto healing thing.....yeah that was probably something that Kishi did as he planned to expand on it and the Hyuga clan in the future; however, part II showed up and he said screw the K11 and other clans as he focused only on the Uchiha and Senju....with a pinch of Uzumaki.

Yeah this is what I got from reading this too... and KGB even though most of k11 and other clans got ignored in the beginning they all did get to shine in this arc.
@OP Are you going to elaborate on KGB Kakuzu's post? also plus rep for getting all the info as it probably took you a while

Well....I would have prefered more shining.

I mean really the only ones who truly shined was team ten, Sakura, and a tiny bit from Hinata and Lee.

Team 10, Defeat Asuma, defeat Kinkaku, Choji stops Gedo Mazou, Ino blocks TBB, Shikamaru is the strategist now.

Sakura: Finds how Zetsu works. Recent power up

Lee: was sent to fight Pakura....kicked Madara in half.

Hinata: Gave a speech, seems to have a powerful move, but with all the OPenness it seems hardly useful now.

Everyone else kinda had a "I have a new jutsu to use on the Juubi clones."

To be honest...I know I'm whining a little too much, but I figured when Kishi said shine he meant the K11 were going to show off a series of impressive fests that made the members of the group reveal true strength as well as gain some reputation in the shinobi world. Patience is the key which I am doing quite well...for the most part XD!

I dont think Kishimoto will give Hinata any crucial role here. If any female is going to get a spotlight, I guess it will be Sakura. Hinata, as a side character already received enough attention as it is.

I was, actually, thinking a more direct approach.

Hinata has the ability to close all of his chakra points.

It would, actually, complement the Yin-Yang theory I have behind Naruto and Hinata.

Naruto has been becoming more "Yin-like" after starting the character as the raw expression of Yang. Hinata, on the other hand, has become more Yang-like after starting as the raw expression of Yin. Her role in inspiring Naruto has been progressively shifting towards the "Wei" side of things.

Wu and Wei are concepts from Taoism representing Yin and Yang - Wu is Yin, submissive or yielding; Wei is Yang, aggressive and overpowering. Which is precisely the differences between standard Taijutsu and the Gentle Fist.

Many martial arts styles based off of Taoism run off of the concept of using Wu to counter Wei and Wei to conquer Wu, adjusting accordingly to create the desired outcome. This is very similar to the Taoist goal of "Wei Wu Wei" - or "Action without Action" - a state of being so in-tune with the natural world that one can do great works with virtually no effort and arousing no suspicion.

Which, basically, means the Gentle Fist is exactly what you want to use to conquer overwhelming power.

Let's say all the Kage get together and Naruto gets serious power-ups from wherever... and they all start to do battle with Obito. Huge energy blasts are going to be slung around and blow up all over the place, killing tens of thousands - an outcome only beneficial to Obito and company.

Hinata gets one of her out-of-the-blue moments, poky-poky, and Obito is now powerless for a period of time.

Though whatever Madara has planned........................

An out-of-the-blue idea just hit me. Kabuto was able to summon Madara as an edo. This implies Orochimaru had some contact with Madara (it would also explain where he got Senju-stuff from). Madara mentioned a "trump card" - but it doesn't appear to be a Jutsu of any form.

Could Madara be an Itachi on this one... and have anticipated problems with the Juubi and/or an individual like Obito (not Obito per se - but the role he had envisioned before Obito filled it)... having somehow beseeched or otherwise convinced Orochimaru to see to the Hyuuga heads... Meaning Hinata is the 'trump card?'

It's so stupidly out there that I hardly even mention it... especially considering Madara confronts Hashirama to fight him after mentioning how he cannot wait before Obito anticipates his 'trump card.'

Anyway .... random speculation aside - Hinata (or any sufficiently talented Hyuuga) becomes a relatively ideal combatant against insanely powerful foes because she can deny them that power.

The main point of this, however, was to argue for the idea that Hinata and Naruto share a destiny that hasn't been fully revealed, yet. While the focus is on Naruto - Hinata's character is a necessary complement to realizing their destiny. At every major turn - where Naruto has been 'destined' to do something - we see Hinata crop up and contribute heavily to making it so.

Which is an extension or proxy of the argument that Hinata and Naruto's characters were designed as complements of each other through Taoist theming (though the whole series has very strong Taoist overtones - Naruto and Hinata are exceptional representations of the concepts, particularly in their interactions).

I argue from the standpoint that the first Sage had a Hyuuga accomplice who helped to develop the Sage arts that Naruto and Hashirama learned; and that it was through her (allegedly) help that the Juubi was contained to begin with. Hence Obito's telling of the story and the claim that the Sharingan is derived from the Byakugan can both be concurrently plausible.

If we believe that the Sage was an Uzumaki - then everything falls into place very nicely.

And if we take the Sage's comment to the Tailed Beasts that he divided; that another would come who would show them the right path... and we take that Naruto is the Child of Prophecy... with Hinata sharing that same destiny and allow that the previous Sage was not only an Uzumaki, but that he had a female Hyuuga companion/wife/whatever who was instrumental in aiding the Sage...

Then everything falls into place very cleanly while complying with other strong themes in the story - history repeating itself with the succeeding generations surpassing the former.

Ino saved Naruto and company by controlling Obito's mind and redirecting the TBB somewhere else..

Then there's this
The Sarutobi Clan

Iol forgot about those additional Sarutobi and Ino-Shika-Cho moments. And the Hyuga part was Neji's shining moment if you call it one XD. But yeah patience time!

And Aim64C I completely follow you now! And honestly this has been something I've been contemplating. I mean we have seen Twin Lion Fists.nearly used twice..so I'm betting they absolutely DESTROY the chakra network of whomever it hits...well st least that area contacted by the fists (which literally one hit does it).

So maybe a combination between Naruto with a rasengan and Hinata's lion fist.

But yeah if she came out of a blindspot and hit him..instead of the normal chakra network destroyed..his Juubi defense would make it simply disables giving the alliance time to act more effectively. But could also trigger Madara's trump card aside from a Hyuga.

Nice work!

Don't jump to conclusions just yet.. Sakura is the main character but where has she been? I don't really think it matters that Hinata is a side character seeing how much influence and roles she's had with Naruto. Ex: Risking her life saving Naruto from Pain. Where was the main character Sakura at this time? Sitting back and watching while her teammate was being captured? Ex:2 When Naruto was losing his way from neji's deaths and others who was there to slap some sense into him? Hinata.. We just saw her powered her Twin Lion Fists.. I think she will still play a role (I Hope) and so will Sakura.. they both haven't shown their full power. I know you're a fan of sakura but don't count Hinata out.

Iol forgot about those additional Sarutobi and Ino-Shika-Cho moments. And the Hyuga part was Neji's shining moment if you call it one XD. But yeah patience time!
Yeah a lot of people these days seem to forget that everyone had their time to shine in this war.. I for one take notice to most of these things. Well it was..I know Crystal Chakra hates how Neji died but it actually makes sense with the way Aim64C showed with the scans.. he followed his fathers path and chose his own destiny with his free will. Plus he saved Naruhina sacrificing his life didn't he? That's one positive right? So Naruhina can become true at the end of the series  Just kidding Xd The only thing I hate about it though is Kishimoto not utilizing Neji to his full potential throughout the series. Seriously though I agree with your reply to Aim64C.. I really want Hinata to have a role with Naruto and others in defeating Jubito with her Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in action.. Anyways off topic but I love your avatar and your signature especially. If it wasn't for Obito being a boss lately I'd switch to a Hinata avatar and signature.

Naruto and Hinata have ben fighting to overcome what others label them as Losers,Nobodies. Jiraiya strengthen Naruto's will never to give up and Naruto in turn instill that in Hinata and as they have grown up it's becoming a back and forth thing between them each encouraging the other. It is Naruto and Hinata that shall be the catalyst of change in the Ninja world. Their believes in each other will crated the their love in one a noter that will inspire the world to change. Naruto and Hinata destiny are bound to each other.

You misunderstood me. Im not saying Hinata wont do anything vague, Im just saying if some female is going to do something really crucial it will be Sakura, not Hinata.
Where was the main character Sakura at this time? Sitting back and watching while her teammate was being captured?
She was taking care of Tsunade. She didnt even know what was happening on the battlefield.

Well thats what my reply to you was about but I guess I shouldve been more specific.. We''l have to see what happens.. don't count Hinata out though!

Oh my apologies  Thats one more thing I know not to mistake again.. but that still doesn't explain recent chapters unless she was healing someone or something.. oh and I'm referring to when Naruto was about to give up.

That's what you believe.. you're not Kishi you don't decided whether this character no matter main or side has already got enough attention. Kishi will show whether Hinata is done with her roles or not later on.

Lol, I forgot that these series were called Hinata. NOT! The ones that are going to get all spotlight is Sasuke and Naruto, there is no Hinata, her role is to become capable heiress. Hyuuga arc ended in this war already, so no more Hinata.:vincent:

We can have our opinions but you seem to make it look like its fact.

Maybe in your eyes, but its far from being true.

Thats how I construct my posts. So no, Im not making them so they look like facts, actually, its the other way around.

Options don't count against evidence. For a side character Kishi is speeding more time and effort on Hinata and Her connection to Naruto to be mere coincidence. Naruto is the main character all others are support including Sakura and support personnel are subject change by Kishi as He is developing the Manga and leading it were He want it to go. Just like any other novel, movie or tv show support characters come and go. Take Neji He died,His only role in the manga now is flashbacks, the same for Jiraiya and other characters that at some point Kishi decided to end their active role in the Manga. It's all parted of story telling.
