Oke so I will be explaining in this thread why I think that princes Hinata, who we all love, is a bad developed character. Before I get started with the brief analysis, I would like to emphasize that I do not hate Hinata and that I do not support ANY Naruto couples (well maybe SASUNARU 
)
Hinata development
Unlike other side characters, Hinata had the tools to become a good character. She is heir of one of the noble clans, a clan with inner conflict, Main and branche family problems. She is in love with a boy that doesn't seem like her back. She lacks leadership skills, She is not the strongest Hyuga, She doesn't have her own ninja way and with a ninja way I mean a plan or resolve to reform her clan.
Hinata was a promising character, atleast she had a backstory. But she hardly progressed and to me she became another boring girl who is created to drool over some guy.
1- She never steped her game up as the future leader of the Hyuga clan, she wasn't the leader in her squad. Yes she B.tch slaped Naruto when he almost got TnJ by Obito and gave a speech here and there but thats not leading a group.
2- She doesn't care about the future of her clan, we never saw her think of talk about how/or she will reform her clan culture. It was Naruto that promised Neji that he will reform the Hyuga clan ones he becomes Hokage. I understand that Naruto is the main character, but reforming the Hyuga clan should be Hinata's job, she is the heir isn't she?!
3- Combat wise, she never surpassed Neji in my opinion.
4- All she cares about is loving Naruto, holding his hand, protecting him, giving her life for him and so on.
I understand that Kishimoto is bad with female characters and that Sakura, Ino, Karin have the same problems. But the reason why Hinata bugs is is that I expected a lot more from her.
