Background Info
History: Hijikata Mamoru was born and grew up in the Land of Iron with his family who were retired samurais. His parents did not seem to care about samurai pride anymore and preferred to live a normal life as village citizens. Despite that, from a very young age, Hijikata got taught in the very basics of swordsmanship by his grandfather who was a professional teacher and ever since that time, Hijikata got obsessed with the way of the sword. Everything that mattered to him was to hone his skills and battle opponents to test himself. His other teachers figured out that Hijikata should depart on a journey to meet other swordsmen so that he could acquire more knowledge about the sword, something he gladly accepted. So at the age of adulthood, Mamoru left the Land of Iron to travel across the world, looking for new sword techniques to learn and maybe even develop some himself.
