Just about everyone has an opinion on Justin Bieber. But would you literally pay money out of your own pocket just to make his music stop?

The student body president at one Washington state high school decided to use a song by the teen star as part of a fundraiser for children in Ghana. But here’s the catch: Students were subjected to Bieber’s “Baby” played on a loop until they gave enough money to make the music stop.

“For some of them it’s incentive to donate because they don’t want to hear it anymore,” Connor Stakelin, student government president of Tenino High School, told King5 News.

The fundraising goal was set at $1,200, but Stakelin promised to let the music die after $500 was raised.

An empty water cooler jug was set with a sign referencing the school's mascot, reading, “Beavers, stop the Bieber.”

The song was played on repeat during passing time between class periods and for the entirety of lunch.

By the end of the school day on Tuesday, the end-the-music goal was reportedly met, with students donating $900 since the song first went into regular rotation the day before.

“The whole idea is all in good fun and makes the kids think globally,” leadership teacher Geraldine Maxfield told The Seattle Times. “It’s about helping students in another country and another culture.”

Dave Ford, Tenino Elementary School principal, had originally suggested raising funds for the school in Ghana, and said support for the cause spread quickly. The funds will go to Crossover International Academy in the African nation.

“It helps kids that don’t have meals, they don’t even have a bed to lie on at night and in their school they don’t even have more than one piece of paper per day,”

Funny. But I think the problem is not Bieber himself, but his fans. Just getting rid of him won't make all those retarded people vanish from this world, the'll just find another idol who can be even worse than him.

Isn't it illegal to torture students like this? Think it falls under cruel and unusual punishment. I mean it was meant for good but what if one of the students couldn't take it any longer and killed themselves. Glad those kids had the endurance to take that kind of punishment.

I can see someone sueing over this.

In all honesty it was a brilliant idea to raise money(though it was cruel)

For their next fundraiser they should play friday.(that might be to much though....many people would probably go home with their ears bleeding)

Hope the money does well to help the people it is supposed to.
