You should think about it for a loooooooong time actually.
A girl in my senior English class dropped out few weeks ago and everyone roasted (bashed) her (when she wasn't there) later saying how someone could just wake up one day and think today is the day I quit school.

Its easier to just finish school with bad grades than just drop out. At least then you can apply to community college easier.

I can actually understand why he's saying that. In my school many people can "get by" just by saying "it's too hard, I can't do it". People that literary had hard time with dealing with decent stuff like system of inequalities can somehow pass an exam of some stuffs that are very advance in contrast.....and no, they don't get after school help or any shit like that.


OT: If you have a solid plan that would do you justice in the long run, then I see nothing wrong it.

And that's because opportunities were much opened back in the old days, where a university degree was not that required. Now, life is a lot more competitive to get rich for middle class, unless you're child trust fund.

A college dropout is one thing, you still have opportunities, you just have to work hard for it, really hard. A highschool dropout however is completely different, chance of getting a job is slim to none, working up in the ranks is near impossible, etc. It goes on your permanent record, your employers will see it, they will know, they will be very nit picky, etc. I highly advise you not too and complete high school.

On a different note, can you explain why you are considering dropping out in the first place? Maybe we can give you some advice?

I dropped high school due to personal problems and recently I got my GED. I'd say that you should not drop out and try as hard as possible to get the high school diploma. If you have serious problems in real life and you seriously have to quit school for a year or two then go for it. But listen to me, if that's the case then you should go and get your GED asap and then apply for college if that's your thing. College is not for everybody. I'm going to try it myself this January and if it's not my thing then I guess I will just go get a job.

Anyways, why are you dropping high school? High School and GED is the same thing. You will have to study hard and pass all the test that you might have passed in school atm, which was my case.

Last thing that I'm going to say is that if you drop out and you later go get your GED, don't think that you're lesser than people who achieved the high school diploma. You can get that far with GED, I've seen people do it so don't have a low-self esteem ok?

The reason was I want to start a business. And now my business is successfull and growing. I found and managed Foods item Store be it fresh or package. SME level.

But I suggest to you, if you dont have a good future plan after you drop out, just forget wanting to drop out and focus on your studies instead.

While you do have some good advice, you also have terrible advice.
I heavily disagree with Bold#1, that's a terrible idea. Your IQ doesn't completely determine your performance at school, and there are many different people that perform completely different despite their low/high IQ.
Finding school stupid, hard or boring are all terrible reasons to drop out of school. If you think it's stupid, grow the **** up. If you think it's hard, work harder, seek help. If you think it's boring, yeah, lots of us do but it's not a valid reason to drop out.

And FYI buddy, studying = knowledge.

But of course, if you want to drop out of high school for some pathetic reason, be my guest, whatever makes you happy.
