Looks
Hiei is pretty short at only "4' 10" (excluding his hair). He wears a white headband, which is placed on his forehead and has a purple iris. His eyes are crimson (blood red), with an angular and slightly slanted shape, giving him a very sinister look.
Living up to his classic villainous persona, he usually dresses entirely in black.He wears a long black cloak-like jacket (with a white collar) and black pants tucked into black boots. He wears a black (and sometimes pale blue) undershirt under the jacket. He carries a very important katana with him that he keeps strapped across his back.
He has naturally spiky dark black hair with a blueish tint and white highlights in the front. Despite his small size, he has a lean muscular build to him. He keeps his right arm covered in bandages and bindings. Under this bandage is a black dragon tattoo that cover's his arm.
Personality
He has a rather cynical and even misanthropic view of the world around him, often belittling and mocking people and the signifigance they place on friendship and life. And while he is relatively taciturn, he occasionally squabbles with and insults his teammates, especially Mugen. Though it is obvious that deep down he holds a certain amount of respect for him and vice versa. In fact, Hiei respects all his teammates, but seems to be closest to Mugen and Axle.
Hiei prefers to work on his own agenda, and has a notorious reputation in the Ninja World as a killer even when he was a child. Despite this, deep down he has struggled with his identity as a loner and his abandonment.

Hiei is a master swordsmen. To him his very own sword is his life, he values his Katana as much as he values his life itself. He mastered Kenjutsu around the age of 17, he taught himself how to use a sword. He surpassed the skill of a normal swordsmen at the age of 20, and he never fails to surprise any other sword master that he goes up against.

-Blood-thirsty Katana-
A very rare Katana indeed... The Katana in which Hiei grew up with, the Katana that protected his very soul. The sheeth for the katana has a japanese written name upon it, it say's (Akukenshi). Meaning Dark Sword (or swordsmen). The very material that the katana is made of shines with a glorious gleem that would make any man or woman cry. The razor blade edge can cut through almost anything that comes in it's way. (strapped onto his back)

-Demon Sword-
This sword he came across at the age of 10 abandoned by a large tree. He took taking it into consideration so he waited a week for it's master to arrive. Once nobody showed up, he finally took it. This is a very special sword for a few reason's, but it's best feature is that it is lighter than any other normal sword, allowing him to maneuver it easily. (strapped to his right hip) Shown in the picture to the right. >

The razor dagger, a very fitting name for the weapon. Making it a very formidable killing weapon for any man that could handle it.

Background Info.
History:
Hiei, as a small boy lived with his mother in a small house (konoha). Since the day he was born, he was chosen to hold one of the family's 10 prized sword's, bloodthirsty katana's. He was a very rebelious boy growing up, his mother tried but could never really handle him. He went to the ninja acadamy just like every other genin in konoha. The teacher's noticed his skill in Kenjutsu and he was always treated special like... He was also a smart young boy himself surpassing everyone else in his classes. At the age of only 8 he ran away from home having no regret's whatsoever late at night when his mother was asleep. This was only because he knew that he could do something better with his life, or that's what he believed...
