She break her meditation then look up to him.
Kenjutsu(sword technique) is the act of using a sword to perform(or in combination with) a jutsu(that is nin, tai and gen).
In other Fø̲̣̣я̅ a shinobi to learn kenjutsu they have to learn kendo, kendo is the pattern of sword play.

If that's the limit of your understanding:

Many people misunderstand the relationship between a sword and its wielder, believing the blade to be nothing more than a weapon - A tool of war. But the fact is that a sword is an extension of its wielder, it is a piece of our soul, something a swordsman can never forsake. We wield the sword not to strike down our enemies, but as a means of protection. Kenjutsu itself, put simply, is the art of the sword, and if you do not fear and respect the blade, then you are not fit to wield one. One of my senior's once taught me that a sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage.

Any questions about what I said so far?

Even though we'll be using bokken for this training, do you think you've had enough practice to know what kind of sword you prefer? Like a longsword, a katana, a nadochi, etc? Different swords will make an impact on how you'll fight in the future, although this training is pretty universal.

Or are you relatively new to this?

That's fine. Like I said this training is pretty universal so we'll be covering a lot of the basics. As you fight with a sword more, you'll find find a style that suits your preferred methods of battle and a type of sword you prefer to use above others.

Moving on, can you tell me what the difference between a One-Handed and Two-Handed slash is? Besides the obvious

ok
The difference I can think of is:
-In a two handed slash there is better accuracy and power(force) in the slash.
-it is easier to revert back to your previous position in a one handed slash.
- two handed slash leave you open Fø̲̣̣я̅ a immediate counter since it include the movement of your whole upper body.
-one handed slash are quicker to execute.
-in a two handed slash you are able to maintain both your balance and grip.

Good answer. One-Handed Slashes offer more maneuverability. Using one arm means less of your body has to move and follow through to accommodate certain movements. If you were to, say, perform a one handed slash, you'd be able to return to your staring position - your stance before performing the slash - more easily than when using two hands. It offers more freedom of movement in a sense. Using One-Hand offers less power than using two. Additionally, they aren't as fast as Two-Handed Slashes, but because of your maneuverability, you can chain consecutive strikes faster than with two hands. Two-Handed Slashes are faster due to the additional force behind the blade, however your movements aren't as flexible so if you 'waste' movement you'll be more susceptible to a counter attack then when using one.

That said, we can get right to it - Hands you a Bokken - perform a One-Handed Horizontal Slash on this training dummy. Horizontal strikes follow through from left to right or right to left. Describe your performance as if you were in a fight and needed everyone reading to understand what you did. If you have any questions about what was previously said, include them in your next post along with the performance.

Take the wooden sword from you, I walk up to the doll. I hold the bokken with both my hand, I place it by my left side close to my thigh. I put one of my leg abit forward then swing the wooden sword with force from my left side hitting the dummy at the right mid region of its body.
I withdrawn my sword and set it by my right side below my waist level I push my other leg abit back and swing the wooden sword hitting the left upper region of the dummy.
*resume stance*
no question :)

Ok I have learnt
♡ the type of sword I choose would help crave out my fighting style, example of ninja swords are nodachi(longsword), katana(normal sword) and shoto(short sword),
♡ one-handed slashes are far better than two-handed slash, manoeuvrability is easier with one handed slash, it is easy to return back to my starting position if I perform a one hand sword attack and it take less energy and time to perform one handed slashes than two handed slashed
♡ how to strike a dummy ^^ horizontal, vertical and diagonal

Okay, you pretty much know the basics. However for me, I believe two handed slash to be stronger than one handed slash thought with less manouvreability.

Takes you to a forest of trees, I want you to use your sword now, start chopping the trees until you are able to bring a full tree down in a single swing.

No I don't
*discard the cutlass and dagger*
Ok time to work.
I draw out my katana with my left hand from my back then place my right hand on the end of the handle of the sword to confirm a good grip as I would need more power than speed for this job.
I run toward the first tree closely and perform a diagonal slash from my right to my left, then arrange my legs such the left leg would be behind the right leg though not in the same line, I perform another diagonal slash aiming at the same path of strike I took earlier so as to weaken the back of the tree and a third swing still diagonal cutting the tree in half(not perfect half).
one down, 1999 to go .
I move to the nearest strike and repeat my previous strike then to the next on getting to the fourth tree; once in range, I perform a small leap with my katana on my hand followed with a double complete spin and at the same time a horizontal slash with my sword. I would strike the tree twice in one motion as I land the tree crack and proceed to fall, I note that the tree wouldn't completely cut clean, I deduce it might have being cos I use one hand so I experimented on the next tree but this time I increase the speed of my spin and held the sword with both hands, the tree broke in half violently, progress!. Now determined I attack the sixth, seventh to 200th tree with various pattern of sword slashes and at each turn I tried an one handed strike before going ahead to try a two handed strike.
On the 201th tree, my body couldn't take anymore and start trampling....
