Would Gaara's Sand be protect him from Hidan's Ritual?

Like would it stop Hidan from hurting himself in order to protect Gaara?

I don't think it would unconsciously until Gaara knew it was dangerous

So you are saying that his sand couldn't auto-defend against the attack?

Hidan would need Gaaras blood so if Gaara sees a large scythe swinging toward him his sand is gonna block it, which would make Hidans ritual useless as Gaara could seal him without the damage coming back to him

So you are saying that his sand couldn't auto-defend against the attack?

Yeah i don't think it would. It only defends direct attacks against Gaara himself.

Since hidan would be attacking himself it wouldn't work.

This i more of a hypothetical question. Say, IF Hidan managed to get a bit of blood, then would the sand auto protect him from the ritual?

IF he got Gaaras blood then no the sand wouldn't be able to protect him automaticly he could however directly control it to seal Hidans movements
