Not really. He's just a specialist ninja who can either be the biggest threat or not one at all. Most of the time the latter, he can't even do anything against the majority of summonings (Hawks can fly, Frogs can defend themselves, Dogs can go underground, Katsuyu's slug body, Turtle/Clam/Panda have shells, Ibune would paralyse him, Cerberus doesn't have blood etc)

Hidan would be super serial threat to any1 IF he would be more silent and think stuff trought.. instead of that he is very short temper and likes to bragg / talk about how stuff goes, well he's kinda immortal so i understand that maybe at somepoint you could be little cocky haha. And to post, i think hidan can affect anything that has blood/chakra to perform he's technique.

Um I really dont see it happening. Hidan's pain and damage respond to where he does it on his body so if he stabs his leg and summoning has like 8 legs, then where does that pain go?

i was wondering the same thing. Maybe if he just stabs the heart? but even then he may "hit" another spot in the summoning.
