Well we can't really say she sucks because we never really see much of her and her familys jutsu so don't underestimate her ether.

In the movie, the Konoha 11 work together to defeat the akatsuki, which is where Naruto begins to feel left out because their parents are congratulating them and he doesn't have any parents. In the genjutsu, Tenten is supposedly very bad with her weapons and would not be able to combat an akatsuki member who is also good with weapons.

This is based of of observations from the trailer and pictures and summaries given by the producers.
