No the other two chunin did squat, the fight was Asuma and Shikamaru VS Hidan.
That is because they couldn't do SQUAT LOL! If were to jump in you are messing up Asuma even more because they would of gotten scratch and die. And the fact that Hidan wanted to fight all of them but Asuma said no, even when he had to retreat:

Eventually if it wasn't for Kakuzu, Hidan would have lost the fight. Still Hidan is superior to Asuma but that doesn't make him kage level since Asuma is no where near the level of a kage.
He had to lose that fight, Kishi wouldn't want to kill a main character straight off the back that is why Hidan had to play with his death while he "secretly forgot" that he was dodging shadow possession
No I think only Neji can. Rock Lee, Choji, Sai, Shino and Sakura all lose to Hidan.
