hidan ranking a popularity thing !

I just read the akatsuki rank thread. I think people rank characters more based on popularity then ability. Hidan is generally ranked last or close to last on most peoples list. A few reasons I think he should be ranked higher. And why I think most of the knocks on him are unfair. 1) injuries that would be debilitating or even fatal injuries to most shinobi are not for hidan. That is a huge advantage in battle obviously! 2) just a scratch is needed to not only injure you but possibly kill you. Considering he is s class has a 4.5 in taijutsu (according to some databooks) that's not that hard to do. You can be scratched and not even notice 3) his weakness lack of range is offset by his ability to tank most attacks and the agility he displayed during his fight with kakashi helps him close the gap between him and his opponent . Someone with super natural like powers and that can kill with a scratch shouldn't be dismissed so easily! Sure he has weaknesses but so does every ninja akatsuki included. So why do people say he is weakest in akatsuki? I think cause he is not popular. Not cause he is weak! You agree?

He has no long range jutsu or attacks. People like Shikamaru school him in a one on one and don't even get me started on how he's using a slow ass reaper weapon when he only needs a spec of blood

I will admit he is underrated and very strong, but he still loses to many Jonin of the leaf. He's like Genma level. But probably stronger. And I still think he is the weakest Akatsuki member, but good points you made.

Hidan is a very formidable opponent, no matter who you are or what you say; the unfortunate truth, though, is that he doesn't have any long-ranged attacks. Keeping a distance is a huge advantage against Hidan.

I'd also like to note that characters seem to keep gaining giant, overpowered jutsu that tend to blow things up on a massive scale. In a team fight, Hidan is an awesome ally because of his immortality; however, in a 1v1 fight, if he gets smacked with a couple paper bombs, he may still be alive, but there's nothing he can do.

People like shikamaru and his dad are considered smartest in the naruto verse. Also shikamaru had time to plan the next fight. Don't try and say everyone is as smart as him genious status

He is dam near immortal and number 9 ? You have to admit he can potentially kill anybody in akatsuki with just a scratch. Am I lying?

it was stated that hidan is the slowest akatsuki member so his taijutsu compared to the others is not up to par, plus he has a lack of jutsu and only one fighting style. People base their ranking on more than one thing, and the only thing hidan has is survivability but on the other hand many akatsuki members have great survivability as well as other techniques that make them special. Point being, hidan isnt all that special

I disagree his taijutsu is a 4.5 and his ninjutsu is a 5 according to data book. Just because its not flashy doesn't mean its not effective.
