Hidan question.

I have a question about hidan..maybe it was discussed here..or pointed out in the manga...but...here it is.

Hidan is supposed to be immortal right? shikamaru did not kill him (he couldn't cause he's immortal XD) just let him rot in a hole..so how was he revived with edo...? how can u revive someone who is not dead?

he still need to do the Jashin sacrifices to remain alive. No sacrifices he dies. The secret behind his immortality is the Jashin technique. (that's what I got from it at least)
