i agree with op, Hidan IS top teir, it took much planing, and a full examination of his jutsu by one of the most tactical and quickest thinking chars in naruto. plus he still really isnt dead, or "beaten" he got ticked and buried. he more powerful then any edo ever, and can solo most people in NV, some even when they know his powers. even madara in his prime would be given a hard time, or even lose if he has no knowledge of his jutsu. also if hidan has time to prep before a battle its instant GG, i after all i never heard him say he cant have more then one circle, and with more then one, say 3 maybe 4, he could trick confuse and destroy an opponent easily, assuming he has their blood. also when i say hes stronger then any edo i mean in terms of durability, he cant be killed and dosent regen, meaning he can counter instantly wheres a edo would have to take time to regen, but then again edo's dont have blood so his jutsu would be useless. besides i doubt we seen hidan's full fight power, he has to have more jutsu.

Also its not exactly clear is physical damage does any real damage to hidan. So I'm not sure if guy can take him on as he says "He is invulnerable"

Well, to be fair, if Kakuzu didn't have 5 hearts, Hidan would've gotten low-diff by Kakashi. He was on par with Kakashi because Kakuzu's other hearts were also on Kakashi. Also, since when was being able to dodge a Genin tool and a fodder Jutsu = top tier? Top tier means this person is at least top 30. Hidan is definitely top tier.

Kakashi could have done nothing against hidan that took him down quickly without hidan getting at least one stratch then simply running or making his circle quickly.
Kakashi has never really fought an opponent without them doing substantial damge to him

genjutsu isn't just about pain for example someone uses genjutsu on him and trick him to think he is inside the circle like when sasuke tricked danzo about having one more eye

Uhh, Hidan has like zero long range Jutsus.
Kakashi has a hell lot. Kakuzu wouldn't even be able to get close to Kakashi. Water Dragon, Earth walls, lightning beasts, (anime) fireball.
Besides, Kakashi can speed blitz the shit out of him. He was speed blitzing V2 Jinchuuriki like nothing alongside 6G Gai.

look hidan is pretty strong but let's not get over ourselves man...hidan may not even know he is in the genjutsu already and if he's to be tricked into believing he's in the circle while he is not then he'll just defeat himself or atleast render himself weakened..

hidan is dangerous to attack head on and ninjutsu may not hurt him much but let's be honest here he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer
