non canon....and there are different version of immortality...orochimaru's differs from hidan's.kakuzu was immortal too....all this people were killed anyway....the bijuu's are the only near perfect beings in the naruto world,because even when they die..they would come back to life at some point.

Like a lot of people mentioned, there's almost no such thing as perfect immortality in the NV. Even the 2nd fanbook (written by Kishimoto himself) states that malnutrition can kill Hidan. Really the only beings who can't be stopped by death are the tailed-beasts, and even then, there are exceptions.
