, and changing the avatar pic is easy, just click "User CP" at the top lef corner, second column. From there on you look at the menu at your left, choose "Edit Avatar" below the subsection "Settings and Options". After that it is easy, just choose to either upload the image from a web-address or directly from your computer, remember to keep it within the limits set~

since you said "personal" I assume you mean pics in your album, if so, go to your album in your profile, and upload the pic from there.

if you are talking about an avatar, go to User CP > edit avatar and upload it there.
