Wolfs Rain. It's a philosophical anime about a boy who can transform into a wolf and is looking for paradise. Greatest anime I've ever watched.

Well Tokyo Ghoul is very good, though not as good as the manga. Same goes for Black Butler, it has its ups and downs but as manga is pretty respected. Safest choice though as anime is code geass.

if you want a more, fighting all the time anime, One piece, or even dragon ball z or code geass.
For a more story driven one with good characters, death note, monster cowboy bebop, samurai champloo and baccano! are good.

If you want an anime just like Naruto, I would watch Fairy Tale. Give it a chance, you won't regret it.
