It's for threads like these that I'd wish I had taken some screenshots. For me personally the 2013 era felt like we were a class of teenagers messing around. We were also nearing the end of the Naruto manga so there was some hype around it. I think it all comes down to nostalgia. We will all prefer the era in which we joined the forum.

Broadly, from 2007 to 2015.

It almost feels like a dream when you see how chaotic the current world is. Also, Reddit sucks donkey balls as it discriminates towards comments of sizable length.

The forum era pre reddit in general I think was pretty charming, and active all around, no matter the genre. After 14 reddit kinda killed them. I really enjoyed the forum era they were more tight knit communities imo.

2013 was the best year in particular,

hopefully with the discord mess coming up by march, we'd see forums come back in popularity.

there are too many chatroom based alternatives to discord, but forums **exist**.

reviving my old account because of this.
will also be deleting my discord account before march 1st hits, because **** this "scan your face, or provide gov id" shiet just to access insert_service_here trend rofl.

Well, Definitely the early years was better, more active members, Manga / Anime discussion, Roleplay etc. I never not seen a better more active forum compared to NB in its prime days.
