i just realized and understood teh true meaning of orochimaru's immortality now :

It's no secret Orochimaru can reincarnate himself through other bodies. I think he has said this himself but most people refer to it as "shedding". Like when a snake sheds his old skin. And he is indeed the embodiment of a snake. He is a genius and will probably never truly die. You would have to kill off his current body, all of his experimental bodies which would be near impossible and do a complete jutsu sealing. He is like Sasori but still left with human traits.

Yea, I think it's another Orochimaru too. Like in this show Ajin, characters have immortal bodies but they themselves aren't immortal. If you cut off their head and a new one replaces it, you will have two heads with two different consciousnesses—one of them dying—.
