Thanks for pointing out the obvious. It is clear to me he is a guy

lol should have mentioned it in a spoiler

Anyways, America has A LOT of problems which I think it needs to solve first before going Hey lets go try to fix their problems. I am not saying that these problems are unimportant, because they are not, but you have to look at the root of the problem. People think that by starting at the top then it will trickle down to the bottom which is not the way to solve the problem. It starts with the roots which caused the big problem in the first place.

Let's say for example, Uganda. I am not very knowledgeable in the countries problems so I will not go too in depth with the subject.

They have many problems of which Crime is the biggest followed by poverty . The both go hand in hand since one leads to the other and vice versa. Instead of going in and killing rebel leaders or government officials maybe you should look at what got them there in the first place.

Crime is brought on because people who are poor cannot maintain themselves on the economy and thus turn to crime to force money out of people. Some people stand up to this crime and they end up dead. The problem escalates out of control because there is no one left to oppose these leaders or everyone is left scared and intimidated.

Things like this some people tend to overlook.

I disagree when it comes to Uganda. If this was just some war, I honestly wouldn't care. But this man is using CHILDREN. That is profoundly wrong on so many levels, I get so angry everytime I think about it. If it takes a village to raise a child, don't you think nations should find a way to rescue 30,000 children and end this man? It's things like this why the United Nations was created, and yet they are doing jackshit about it. This has been going on for 26 years, this NEEDS to be taken care of.

1. I wasn't referring to him
2. That being said, getting rid of one will not solve the problem as a whole. You have to start at the root like I said.
3. Yes what he is doing is wrong but that alone won't solve the problem of someone taking his place in the future for the same reasons.
4. If it took 26 years for the world to begin to notice then there is something definitely wrong there or it wasn't THAT big of a problem.

Okay, so if we fix our own problems, suddenly everyone else will? I usually wouldn't agree that America should interfere with other countries, like with Vietnam and Korea, but when it comes to a man using children, I think it's the world's responsibility to fix this problem. Children are sacred, and should not be used as an army.

but we need oil and to expand our militaristic influence :(
hahaha this ^^
its almost always about the oil, or for America's gain rather than actually "helping out"

:sy:

No guy. I meant that if we are going to point the finger at someone and say they are doing wrong we shouldn't be guilty of the same crime. I meant that as a country not as an individual. Isn't it wise to take the log out of our eye before we take the speck out of our neighbors eye?

 What?

Anyways, America needs to fix itself before it tries to save the world.

Precisely. :y

Communism only failed where America interrupted:)

------

I agree with you 110%

America must stop trying to be some kind of global counselor and worry about their own problems.

Most of the time, they don't even help. They think they do.

I think it's not as simple as you make it sound. America do kind of poke their noses in sometimes but If a country is causing it's people harm or ignoring their wellbeing and only focusing on the wealthy and those in power, then it's good have.....

are you ****ing kidding me? sometimes?
and replacing independent third world governments with puppets made to serve the US's best interest isn't saving the people any harm, it's the real source of harm.

Americans don't actually care about problems, they care about looking like they care. Millions of people have posted "KONY 2012" and acted like by posting that they made a difference in the world, when really they didn't. In reality kony 2012 is just a scam by a few rich white guys to get richer, combined with support from the government of Uganda, the real criminal, to get rid of a rebel faction that is resisting their government. Everyone posting about it has absolutely no clue what they are posting about, they just watched a youtube video that was emotional and now they think they are world saviors, when really they are just idiots. Kony has been around for over 20 years doing the exact same thing, nobody cared until they watched a video on youtube.

Watch the video about the reporter who got to spend some time staying at Konys camp and interview him and his troops. Guess how many children were there.....0....you have fallen for the propaganda.

and u mad coz america will soon be a Hispanic country :|
It's predicted that America will be 40-50% Hispanic/Latino in the next 50-70 years.
It's only right, 600+years or whatever of suppression and now they're getting what's rightfully theirs.

The more powerful countries have always been involved all over the world. This has been true throughout history and is still true today and is going to be true for at least the foreseeable future. You may not like it, but its just the way it is. The US isn't doing anything the countries of Europe haven't done in the past, or something they wouldn't still be doing today if they hadn't destroyed themselves through two world wars.

As for Kony, its true that a big part of this sudden movement doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. But regardless of whether they're just trying to be part of the new fad, its definitely not a bad thing that people are finally hearing about it. As long as people are talking about it, it can't hurt.

OMG you're talking about propaganda and you just fell for it... here's some facts:

: forced enlistment of children - 8(2)(e)(vii)).

and the one who is interviewing Joseph Kony Jan Egeland currently the Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch, his comments about Kony

Well then, what would an acceptable source be?

If everything is propaganda, where should we turn for information?
