Tanimoto is the president of the drama club at Rock lee's school and is considered to be the school's "prince", pretending to be a kind and soft spoken student, which plays well seeing how he is popular with both teachers and students. To further the illusion that he is a gentle and kind person, he makes sure not to reveal his muscular build, and even claims that the sun is bad for his skin just to prevent his body from being shown off during the camping trip.
He claims to have only joined the Taijutsu club to practice deceiving others, and is only nice because he perceives popularity as a way to control people. In truth, he is cold, ill-tempered, and extremely prideful. He also whacks Rock lee and Ten Ten or threaten them whenever they try getting too close (both figuratively and literally). Tanimoto also can't stand it when Rockj lee calls him Natsu-chan (Lil' Natsu) to which he irritably responds "Who's Natsu-chan?!".
A running gag is that whenever lee's sensei calls Natsu his "best friend", he immediately becomes infuriated and angrily refutes the claim to which lee either ignores or is oblivious to. However, in his fight for the position in YOMI, he briefly thinks about Rock lee, finally accepting that he is his best friend despite his refusal to admit it.

チャクラ情報 Background Info
History:
Upon being brought into the world the boy known as natsu or to legend known as the hermit, he bounced around from orphan home to orphan home. until he found a fine place to call home, it was not until he was six that he found a dream to become a rogue taijutsu master. upon finding this dream the hermit travelled to konohagakure to seek out the man known as typhon to enhance his arsenal of skills. with seeking out this man he gained true knowledge which was that of becoming a legacy of a smoke master but that was not enough. it wasn't until he finished his training until he realized that he needed to seek out someone to hone his fists and movements. that realization lead the hermit to Vision sensei who battered the fist style of hand to hand combat into the hemrit. once finished his training after what was five years the hermit sought out isolation to further progress anything he felt needed tweaked and styled to best attribute himself in combat.
The day came when the hermit returned to sunagkure only to find yet another kazekage in place of the last one reminscing of his times in sunagakure he remember that now there have been five changes in kage since his arrival in the village and that this was unsettling. the tides of demise were soon to be at hand. will there be yet more change the hermit thought for sure there would be and that the time has come for him to finally stop holding back and show the world what he can really do instead of just sluffing off his duties. the next weeks natsu honed his ninjutsu and genjutsu abilities thanks to the guidance of his masters Nathan and the always fabulous ADACHI san.

- the hermits natural affinity is that of Water needing only a single handsign for using water jutsu's and does not require a water source for any water jutsu.
- The hermit also has a second affinity towards fire performing the regular handsigns faster to perform fire jutsu's.
-weapons of choice are as shown also with two compact smoke launchers on either wrists.
while also bringing his mask to battle as to not be affect by the smoke.
