His timeline was destroyed in the prior arc so perfect chance to have him tag along
And having buu falling asleep again was stupid
Like why give him a power up in the form of skinny buu if he's just going to do nothing what was even the point of the power up
Freeza already had a whole arc about him and they have knockoff freeza in the tournament no need to have two freeza's in the tournament so why not just have gotenks show up
He's gotten next to no screentime thus far
And dont say but they kids tho when they were brought to fight buu and freeza's army. Nobody batted an eye there
Pikkon and one of the movie villians brought back would of been cool

Also would of liked to not have 17 in the tournament
He has not been relevant since the android/cell saga and even then if you wanna have someone from there. they should of had bullshit some way to bring back 16 given he was more powerful then 17 and has more unique design
